two good centre halves first and foremost..even on loan plus a proper left back who is actually left footed..then offload the surplus from the warnock era by which time we may have worked out park plays through the middle..decide who out of diakite mbia granero park and faurlin are the central pairing...decide where hoillet is best suited....see if that looks like keepin us up then worry about bent or whoever we,re linked with in january....we may well be in the same league position in january which means mackie and hulse/campbell up front the following season and bent etc just a pipe dream
Alright saying we need cb's yes we do but afaic Nelsen & Hill are a decent strong pairing so its not a critical position, pretty desperate yes & I'd like a cb but those 2 are a sturdy pair my worry is we have no goals in the team. Zamora is a front man as you know & if Cisse isn't on his game he's as useful as a chocolate teapot so I can't see where we are gonna get goals from myself so Bent would be a vital addition in my eyes.
while he could be a useful signing he really hasn't pulled many trees during his career ,
What I would like to know is why we have never been in for the likes of Hooper and Saha when they could have been picked up at bargain prices instead of the older players we have signed ie S W P and A J
I rather wait and see where we are with this squad before thinking of new signings. 10 wks or so before Ill be worrying. I think we have enough goals in us. I believe we beat toffees 2-1 and we all be a lot happier. Ill be having a score on it as well.
Liverpool and QPR could make a move for out-of-favour Aston Villa striker Darren Bent in the January transfer window. Villa are prepared to sell the England international mid-season.
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0
