I am getting so bored of this debate. It was so evident again tonight! They don't even come to many games so maybe they don't care!

    We need a STRIKER!
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

I don't think it is lack of willing to invest money,as shown by the Faurlin deal.

I really don't know why they can't see the obvious need for a striker.

      Truly baffles me.

its was more like 500k plus add on's

baffles me as well why the board cant see it

Think they will now. Not sure its always wise to jump on a badnwagon esepcially after 2 games, and some did it even after one game.

still the same old thing...after 2 games after 3 games...no mate a whole bloody season we have cried out for a striker...so give it up with the same arguement.

I've been saying it for 18 months and even when we had Blackstock. I wish it was only for 2 or 3 games. Its been so evident.

The problem we now have even if the board agree we need a striker is WHO IS LEFT?

Beckford seems to be the only 'realistic' possibility and I'm not sure Leeds will sell.

Hooper, Jackson there are plenty out there
I think the problem is that they see this as making a quick buck. If by any chance we could get out of this league with this group of players then they will make a massive profit

if we get promoted the Sky payment set up would guarantee any investor £134m = £62m for the first season then assuming we get relegated £32m for the next 2 seasons with parachute payments - as far as i'm aware (correct me if i'm wrong) - so if someone were to purchase the club for say £50m - thats a profit of £72m on your original investment - were Flabio & Co thinking of a fast buck when they bought into a business they know very little about - not realising just how cut and thrust the championship is - expecting to walk out of this division with a moderate outlay and recoup a tidy profit ?

Remember - Briatore openly admitted during an F1 interview that QPR was his "hobby".Therein lies the problem and why he tried to enconmise on the likes of Di Carmine,Ledesma and Parejo all unknown foreign loanees and nothing's changed.Taarabt's on loan, Faurlin did not cost £3.5m and as for Pellicori - god help us.

Besides being clueless on all football matters that has shown evidently since they took over and not giving a flying f..k about the fans of this great club, and the team being the lowest scorers last season in the division then getting rid of our top scorer IS A MASSIVE CLUE TO ALL OF THIS. Tosse.rs each and every single one of them

I think they have shot themselves in the foot over the Faurlin deal. By announcing that they had spent £3.5m on the deal many thought they would spend big and the ST sales would go up. All it did was raise expectations that the board were serious about investment and that vast improvements would be made to the playing staff. We are three league games in and because this hasn't happen the backlash has already started.

i have no doubt what so ever the problem lies with our DOF end of story

just look at all the diabolical signing he has made over the years, granted he has made some very good ones as well, but for me he has wasted far to much of the clubs / our money

5 or 6 managers have all gone in his time, maybe it's about time the board looked closer to home

                              (edit)
PS unless he signs Beckford & another forward of course, then he will be the best thing to ever happen at this club of ours
