He is dishonest and unreliable. He will moan about lack of funds or, if allocated as much as he wants, will make Hughes' buying/wages spree seem like the epitome of financial prudence. In either case, we will end up as Pompey, in ruins.

also he won the f.a cup and done well in the league with that team. hughes has done the same thing with us hes spent the money, but rather then playing attacking football, winning games and cups he got us sitting at the bottom of the table and knocked out to reading at home.

Yes he was given the funding but he still said to the chairman i need this player and that player.... IT proves he's only had remote success when he's spent ludicrous sums. Also you cant compare us signing mainly free transfers to Pompey when he was there... blimey he signed Defoe, Crouch, Distan, Krankjar, Kanu, Campbell, Diarra, Johnson, Kabool, Nugent (for £5m!), Utaka, Bouba Diop, James...... Hardly players on frees in their latter years.

AS for Spurs, again spent millions on huge numbers of players, many of which hardly ever got a look in.....

Its a myth that he's some messiah.

fair enough del, i just know he would do it for us though. the attacking players we got at the moment redknapp would have them firing on all cylinders. spurs played some lovely football home and away under him and they turned over some massive teams. id love abit of that at qpr.

I think he would get us playing some decent stuff too, but i fear he would demand more and more players and not use them and literally waste millions. Although he also had them playing good football, he also seemd completely clueless if the game was not going their way and failed to change things more often than not. Plus his record against the top sides was mostly poor when up against top managers who out thought him. Did he ever beat Utd???, Record against Chelsea woeful, and likewise Arsenal mostly.

He is no doubt a decent manager, i just personally don't think he's this great manager the press seem to portray.

He has also commented about having to play 4 CB's so by identifying the FB issue as a factor, itr would be rich to then sack him before injurured players return to allow MH to field a preferred back 4.

WE have been sloppy at crucial times in matches, which must mainly lay on the players not the manager or coaching staff tbf. WE have in the last 2 games conceeded in the firs 5 mins, in other games we've conceeded straight after scoring ourselves... it's lapses of concentration which must change.

I have seen enough to know we are a confidence side at the moment and when we go behind the heads drop a bit and it takes longer to build momentum. Once we have something positive we play well, such as after scoring against West Ham and Brom we were a completely different side and dominated for long spells. If we can only get in front in a match, build on it and win, we will im sure get more wins soon after and all will be forgotten.
That's a good post post Del.

Chelsea chiefs could decide this week to sack John Terry and Ashley Cole.
Its believed that influential figures close to Roman have grown tired with all the bad press and negative publicity around the club generated by these two complete c*nts. It is also believed Lampard could be joining Drogba in China after John Terry was apparently caught feeding Christine Bleakley an apple through her letterbox. Its thought that JT plan was to swap the Apple with his helmet at the last minute.

                Easy!

A Leicester city friend of mine is under the opinion that because Harry was muted as being interested in going to Leicester, that was just a stunt to show our board that he is available and wanting to get back into managing. The commute from Bournemouth is far easier to West London than to Leicester as well.

Fernandes has publically backed Hughes and like the football fan he is, has identified some of the issues Hughes is dealing with. i.e. injuries, new players needing time etc. Unlike his predecessor, he seems to be a patient chairman and I'd be surprised if he sacks Hughes this month unless the next two fixtures are performances/results like the Swansea match.

Anyone who watched the WBA game can testify that two bits of sloppy defending where the main reasons for the loss, but even then, had Bosingwa not blazed that last kick of the game high, QPR would have come away with a point that the 2nd half performance deserved.

Hughes is having an impossible task of trying to field a settled defence. Most knowledgable fans recognise that so many defensive changes due to injuries, will end in sloppy goals conceded and winning matches becomes even harder (unless you have the likes of Alonso, Ronaldo, Xavi, Iniesta, Van Persie & Messi in the team.

I said in another thread that he will definitely get until Xmas as he has had 2 windows, which should be enough for anyone with backing, UNLESS a big name shows interest. If HR shows interest - MH will have a couple of games, but I can't see it.
