  • Its Obvious!

    Keeper situation OK

    Midfield Situation very Good

    Striker situation could be better

    Defence:

How many of these players would get into the top 15 of the prem now :

    Bosingwa
    Hill
    Onuha
    Nelson
    Fabio
    Ferdinand
    Young

    I reckon none of them.

Hughes has tried to get defenders, Samba, Alex, Dawson, Carvalho etc. for some reason its a real problem area

    So.....

From Jan onwards , SHOULD be alot better and if we can muster a few wins from now to January then that is a bonus

    thats my theory anyway

Harsh on Nelsen and Bosingwa imo, and to an extent, Hill. Nelsen has been very impressive so far, and Bosingwa hasn't been bad at all. Hill at left back is not the answer, but at centre back he'd get into a mid-table prem club easy.

Towards the end of the season most would of had Hill on the plane to the Euros after his performances for us. He's not become a bad defender overnight.

Nelsen can do a job for us, as can Bosingwa. Fabio got injured at an unfortunate time, but again he could very easily do job for us.

For me it's not the defenders we have at the club, but the ones we've not had available. With all of our defenders fit, we can put out a fairly good back 4. Put the same 4 out week after week after week and watch them perform better and better.

We've played 5 out of the top 8 in the League and would have many more points on the board than we do if we put out Fabio AF Nels Bos every week..... as opposed to a combination of Hill/Fabio/Neds/AF/Nels/M'Bia/Bos.

At RB we have Bosingwa, with Fabio as backup. At LB we have Traore (who's unreliable) and no backup. We have 5 CBs, M'bia, Nelsen, Hill, Ferdinand, Onouha. As far as I'm concerned, the problems are glaring. We need to sort out Ferdinand and Onouha and maybe replace one or both, and we need a LB.

Hill and Onouha should never play fullback for us again, unless in a dire emergency.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

You honestly just dont rate any of our defenders - Purely because of recent results.

These guys without a doubt are good players but have not clicked yet...

            Bosingwa
            Nelson
            Fabio
            Ferdinand

Bosingwa was a fairly regular RB for Chelsea/Champions league final starter and winner so i think you could say he is top 4 let alone top 15 Prem clubs.

Had a bad game on saturday but a great signing for QPR.

In all the time at our Club I've only see Ferdinand have 1 decent game, that was at home to Chelsea this year and was probably putting in a bit more effort that day for reasons we all know about ,as for the rest of it he's been poor or below average doesn't mark well ,lets people turn does not close down, SORRY just wouldn't be in the team if we had 2 good Center backs

I agree, but Hughes needed to have signed some better covering players. Onuoha and Ferdinand did not look good enough last season as shown by the goals against column and the calibre of goals conceded between Jan-April.

I honestly prefer to have Luke Young than Onuoha in the 25 man squad.

As for the other problems in the teaam/ squad - I'd say the stubbourn selction of SWP is a major reason for the losses. He creates nothing, scores no goals and runs into players or just gives the ball back to the player who passed it to him (I, and many other fans, can do that for a fraction of his pay).

Also QPR need Cisse on the pitch for his pace and goalscoring ability. He should be playing more often than not (if he seems peeved on his performances so far, perhaps it's because he is being kept out of the side by inferior players i.e. SWP and Mackie.

someone posted on here in the live match threat on Saturday that Hill was embarrassing. If anyone was embarrassing, it was Ferdinand. Hill should not be embarrassed for not having pace, but Ferdinand's attempt to deal with either of the crosses for the 1st 2 goals was at best, pub team football level.

I don't know why you keep posting this everywhere. Fabio played LB at United. He's our first choice LB.

Ridiculous OP, by the way. Bosingwa wouldn't get in a 'top 15 premier league side', no? He made 43 appearances for Chelsea last season.

Stop playing Championship Manager. The answer isn't just 'BUY MORE PLAYERS' - the players we have are perfectly good enough. We just need a well-coached, settled back four. And some better protection in front of them.

Well I won't resort to having little digs about opinions. Fabio is a RB but played LB at OT because he couldn't get near being first or second choice at RB. It's a bit like the Neville brothers situation.

Have you not seen him play RB for us then?

should not get any where near the 1st team we all know there weaknessess so do our opponents ,

He's been a LB since Fluminese. Here's an article from 2008, shortly after they signed for Utd, where he is talked about as a left-back.

He's played LB for the last 7+ years, it's where he trains, and it's where he mostly plays. Yes, I'm sure he can play right-back too, just as Bosingwa can also play on the left. But what, exactly, makes you so sure Fabio is primarily a RB?
