I like Warnock, I liked him before he was our manager. He has the knack of getting extra out of players classed as ordinary.Seems to me signing big names didn't help him at all, and had he had the proper backing we would have signed players similar to Norwich and Swansea, or at least tried

Warnock was not played a fair hand by Ecclestone and Briatore. They gave him no money pre-season before the premier league season which meant when TF finally took over the transfer window was nearly closed. Warnock then had to panic buy and made 3 of the worst signings i can remember the club doing value for money wise in Barton,SWP and Ferdinand. Barton had far too much to say, whilst SWP and Ferdinand are just sh1te, full stop.
I would of loved to see what Warnock could of done had he been given decent dough to really strengthen the squad during pre season, he certanly couldnt of done worse than Hughes.
I'll never ever forget the promotion season, some fantastic memories which i will take to my grave.

As he says in the interview, he was trying to sign players that ended up at Norwich and Swansea in the summer of 2011. But BE and FB wouldn't release the funds because they were trying to sell the club.

I reckon it hinges on if we stay up this season, if we do i reckon happy days ahead. If , and it is a distinct possibility the way we are playing now we go down then it will all end in tears for sure. they wont want to bankroll a championship club

Thanks for what you done for rangers with your hands tied but would any of you seriously give Warwick 20 million of your hard earned ? Think he's a great motivator but when the b********* stop working he's tactically naive and don't think he knew how to handle the big egos hense the reason he'd never got a better job before . Great at getting you there but keeping you there is another matter . Sparky for all his faults has been there and done it at the top level so should command respect before they've even walked through the door

I agree with you in part Gregory, I really liked NW. Thought he knew the club and knew its limitations and worked miracles. Once big name players like Joey arrived however, it appeared to cause divisions in the dressing room and stories of drinking etc, I just think NW didn't have the gravitas (is this a word ) to control the dressing room and the team could easily have imploded. Whatever his faults no player can disrespect MH with his career and players like JB probably fell into line very easily under MH.
As to tactics however I don't see much difference between the two to be honest.

Yeah see what your saying mate just think warno lost the dressing room and didn't have the status to demand the respect that Hughes does . Don't get me wrong I'd love sparky to show a bit more passion in interviews and on the sidelines but maybe he's trying to be professional and keep it in house . Whatever his reasons for picking the same **** week in week out he must have them . You live and die by your decisions and I hope he's man enough to make the necessary changes as some of them boys just arnt up to scratch . Doesn't matter how good a manager you are you can't polish a turd but you can help yourself with your selections
