  • 1991/92 season

For all of you who are thinking we are already relegated and calling for Hughes' head, I have a little example for you.

In the 1991/92 season we didn't win any of our first 8 games. We beat Luton in our 9th game 1-0 away.

From late november we went on a run of 11 games unbeaten and finished in the top half of the table, 11th out of 22.

We won 6 games at home, and 6 away. But of course this could never happen again could it?

I pointed out about a week ago that in Gerry Francis 1st campaign as manager (maybe this was the season) that QPR had a slow start but finished in the top half.
For me, this start can be viewed as a bad patch.

My main concerns are the selection of SWP,the ommitance of Cisse in attack with Zamora and injuries to the defenders.

Hughes can do something about the 1st two and if he does, QPR should start winning games soon.

Difference was 20 years ago we didn't have forums for all the knee-jerkers to compete with eachother for the biggest overreaction (both positive and negative - think back to what people were saying at HT vs Spurs). People could switch off from football during the week. Now, the media pumps us with constant new stories, FERNANDES TWEETS SOMETHING, 'ARRY NOT INTERESTED IN QPR JOB, CESAR MIGHT NEED OPERATION, and people have a need to DO SOMETHING.

We're playing badly DO SOMETHING we've lost a few games SORT IT 'AHT FERNANDES we've lost another one SACK THE MANAGER
