  • We do all need to calm down however Hughes does tend to promote worry!

The problem for me is not the league table. Yes 2 pt's is not ideal after 7 games and clearly not acceptable but other teams are also struggling. 1 win would take us above Norwich, southampton and reading so we don't need any knee jerk reactions.

I also don't want harry redknapp who is not the answer to our problems.

What I would like to see is a settled side starting to form.

Mark hughes is very quick to change a side based on results but with the amount of new faces that is not a solution for me.

Why did he start Clint Hill, a dreadful left back with no pace when we had a fit Troare?

Mbia does not look up to pace to play centre midfield and after the Ferdinand display I would try and work on a nelson/mbia partnership and stop all these changes.

Samba diakite is a liability like some suggest but why are people suggesting him to play as a defensive midfielder? A position where he would have to put in endless amounts of tackles, something he is clearly not good at. He could be a very big player for us but he needs to play further up the field. His strengths remind me of Yaya at city, ok still very raw and not in the same league as yaya yet but when he runs forward with the ball he is very dificult to stop.

I'll add my piece on Park as he has been mentioned quite allot. For me he is given the captains armband because he is the type of player that leads by example. He is never going to shout, but he will work his nuts off and fight for every ball. IMO this tends to work in a winning side with confidence but at this moment I believe we need a vocal leader, which we clearly lack.

Anyway with the current players my team would be the following.

    Cesar

    Bosingwa, Nelson, Mbia, Troare

    Faurlin

    Granola Diakite

    Holliet Taarabt

    Zamora

Holliet and adel have to start together as they are both players that make something happen. We have had good possession but done nothing with it.

West brom gave us a real lesson in 1 touch football in that 1st half
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Isn't that some sort of breakfast cereal?

As for Traore not starting, heard Mike Rigg state that the reason Adel didn't start against West Ham was that he might not last much more than an hour. Seems that MH's game plan is to go 2-0 down before considering playing the correct players in the correct position, rather than take them off when we are 2 up. Novel, I suppose. Not come across it before.

Have to admit, I never normally agree with anything Weare says but there is a first time for everything and I tend to follow what has been posted here.

Although for me Hill should partner Nelsen at the heart of the defence, M'Bia loves a tackle but like Diakite seems to like to go to ground far too easy, I just think every week that happening in our penalty area would make me have a heart attack.

I would worry about Traore as a wing back at times, cracking player but seems to drop his head far too easily and I have lost count of the times where some one has got pass him and he doesnt do his best to get back.

Diakite may look like a defensive midfielder but he is not in a million years and should be more advanced as per the side above.

The problem with the formation however, is it relies heavily on our wingbacks and this is where we are struggling as we speak, Bosingwa was definitely not fit yesterday.

So maybe I haven't completely agreed but 90%
