Who could have stopped the cross for the second goal against West Ham? Who, if he tracked his man, wouldn't have been done by simple 1-2 for the second goal Saturday? He doesn't inspire the team & currently not what we need. We lack width when he's wide

Normally I agree with your views but think you're wide of the mark here. Faurlin's the best tackler but I wouldn't have him in my team. Park is a good player but again oi can't see how he can be viewed as type of player to protect the back 4. It's not wokring at the moment and we need something different. We're bottom and yet you talk of diakite being too risky. It's precisely because we're bottom that we need to take that risk. Park, granero, faurlin are too similar to me, pick 1 or max 2 but not 3 of them. They look good on ball but have little end product. We need some drive and bite and just someone who can create something, that's why hoilet and diakite must be in that midfield. Nelson should be captain

First few games of the season he was our best player and from what I've seen so far has looked our best ball winner through the middle of the park

You don't play at the very highest level consistently through your career and suddenly become a poor player overnight. He is 31 so he's not passed it What a ridiculous comment to make from so many supporters.

            So what is the problem?

He's a right-sided midfielder being played on the left to accommodate other players. He's Captaining an unsettled team without a consistent starting at 11 where The formation seems to change on a weekly basis.

Write him off at your peril because as the season progresses and our backs will be up against the wall he's exactly the sort of player you will want in the trenches with you.

He is playing poor at the moment as is most of the team, a few matches do not make a season... Wise up !
Absolute dog turd! He is not a left winger, if you think he should play there you're mad. If you think he is better than Faurlin or Granero in CM you are mad. If you think he would add steel to the aforementioned in a 3 man CM, you sir.....are mad!

What an absolute plonker you are try re-reading my post with regards to whether I think he should play left wing Haha

My opinion is he is a better centre midfielder than Faurlin. His tackling and engine IMO are the best in the team from our midlfielders if you don't agree well that's your issue not mine.

As Gary Neville said last week on Sky - nothing gets past Park when the opposition are attacking, but he has to be playing in the centre of midfield for this to work. He isn't creative and (on what I've seen this season) he isn't the best creative player, but at the back / centre of the pitch Park will win the ball 9 times out of 10. Lets give him a chance and get SWP to bring the oranges at half time!
