  • Who Could Do Better?

there have been a few calling for magiltons sacking

    but who would
    A) want to come here
    B) do better

a goalscorer would have changed the first two games for sure. the blame lies with the board.

You've answered your own question Sam

The blame lies with the board for not signing a top striker.

spot on...the board is also to blame for employing another tinkerman....and it was well documented he was before he was taken on.

        A settled defence would help.
        They seek him here.................

Sacking him is just a step backwards - give him some support/backing n some dosh for a new front man

He needs to start placing the good on the pitch and the not so good on the bench. Not leaving out our two best defenders on the pitch.

Also just like all the other managers playing Buzsaky etc out of position he needs to put them in their best positions.

Im not saying sack magilton sooner or later we've got to stick with a manager and give him time.

Blame the board yes they saved us and thank you, but once again in the summer they took the cheap option regarding the manager and that shows there ambition or lack off he'll probably be sacked by october if results dont improve and we'll be back at square one.

with a striker it would have been different.

forget last years denfensive perfomances as they were never going to be as good this year. JM would have been instructed to play attacking football. playing attacking football with no decent striker's is suicide. thats why we are not performing. nothing to do with gorkks being on the bench. remember it was only 1-0. conceding one at bristol is not bad.

conceding one anywhere is bad...means we cannot win the game....beyond us to score 2 in a game.

                      Majilton
IF he's allowed to sign a decent striker

I knew the writing was on the wall during pre-season as soon as he started playing Buzsaky on the wing and Hall as 1st choice CB.

                            from fez's match report

"Hall 8 - Played very well tonight I thought I'm not a Hall fan and wouldn't pick him normally but didn't realy put a foot wrong

Stewart 7 - Also played well, no real calamties both him and Hall looked comfortable in posession and dealt reasonably well with the impressive Maynard and Haynes."

seems like hall didn't do much wrong

Not really was a good goal by Maynard and as I said the defence did play well on the whole. The problem was it was a case of just waiting to see whether they would score or if it would end 0-0 we were never going to score even the sitters we missed.
