  • Poor Team Selection

our 2 best defenders on bench...
    buzz on left wing....
    and a midfielder upfront...

Magilton is well known as a tinkerer and drove fans mad at Ipswich with his constant bizarre team selections which seems to be starting here.

we all know that the fault is not in defense it is up front.

with sousa last year i said he couldn't play attacking football because he didn't have the strikers to do so. it seems this is true.

with a striker i believe we would have seen different results in the first two games.

He isn't doing anything he wasn't known for doing before he was hired. He was interviewed, was it three/four times before he was hired, so the issue must hae been discussed wouldn't you say?

What we have is a manager with a reputation for playing good football and goal scoring teams. But he can't get us to score. Dowie couldn't get us to score. (Shock/horror!!!) Sousa couldn't get us to score. But they both managed to get us to keep clean sheets, something Magilton hasn't done and isn't renowned for doing. Three very different managers, all with the same problem. Doesn't it occur that the problem may not lie with the managers?

4 games n 4 different starting line ups and its not as if he makes 1 or 2 changes due to injuries, its about 4+ changes each game. There is no chance of consistency doing that or producing a common form of play. We dont have a decent enuf striker but if we had a consistent line up for 3 games I'm sure we would improve n give those players confidence.

We won 5-0 last week, why not stick with that line up?? Players wud have been full of confidence. Some things just mystify me!!

What is it with his selection policy?

Why is he playing Buzsaky on the wing?

Why has he been putting Connolly, Gorkks and Stewart on the bench while Hall is first choice CB?

Could this partly explain our poor start to the season, other than the obvious lack of a decent striker of course?
