  • Poor Defence

    This is our biggest liability

Dont think there is one defender keeping apart from Traore

Hughes messed up buying knackered old Nelsen and Boswinga has seen his best years

Ferdinand likes to doze off and not going to get any better

Nedum tries his best but he is championship quality

Hill is great but tbh should not really be in the Prem starting games but has to start as Hughes brought tired old players and to Hills credit has been the better of the bunch

Traore is the only player who has potential but Hughes fails to see that

Not sure about Mbia but at least shows signs that he can improve

Need at least 2-3 new defenders in the next transfer window

Sadly this was evident during last season yet Hughes failed to sort it during the summer.

It ignores me as Hughes should of built the team on a strong back four instead with have a deck of cards

Nelsen's been alright, but I thought he would have been signed predominantly as cover.

People say 'all fans think they are managers' yet we can't all be wrong can we?

Every fan was calling for decent cb's all summer & we didn't get them & look at us now. Shambles.

I think Fabio has been quite good, too.
Today, I think their first and third goal were quality goals. Can't blame our defenders too much for those.

Here's my assessment of our defence:

Traore - too unreliable to be a regular but bags of potential
M'bia - too soon to tell
                Nelsen - rock solid
Hill - good CB, not as a LB
                Onouha - not good enough
                Ferdinand - not good enough
Fabio - good cover for Bosingwa
                Bosingwa - decent RB

Hughes neglected the defence IMO and we need two CBs and a LB. Might sound harsh, but I don't think Ferdinand and Onouha are up to the required standard. Give me players like Ryan Shawcross and Michael Dawson any day.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

I agree with everything except Onuoha. He's decent cover at CB. Never rated Ferdinand. Also worth noting that while Nelsen's solid at his age something's got to give in terms of either performances or injuries at some point.

****ing hell - Ferdinand aint no world beater but hes twice the player Onouha is.

MīBia seems like a waste of space.

Ferdinand was directly at fault for their first one!

Yes, he lost his man on the first one, but I'd put more blame on him for the second one where he somehow forgot how to kick that round thing that bounces around a football pitch during a match.

Nelsen has been our best defender bar none, Traore should've started at left back and Hill in center with Nelsen and Ferdinand left out !!!

This. Although, must admit, Id have had Ferdinand over Hill before the game given how well he played vs Chelski.
