If its not broke don't try to fix it!

Without Gorkks or Connolly we have no defenders capable of bringing the ball out of defence and that for me is where the problem starts.

Very worried to say the least!
They say you learn more from a defeat so im gonna give JM the benefit of the doubt tonight. Our team is built on our defence, dont undo that Jim.
Lets hope he see that hes made a boob and gets Gorkks back in on satd.Too early to hit the panic button but with Flavs trigger finger Jim needs a win and quick.

Last year our strength was the defence.

      Now, why mess with it?

I think we'd all pick Connoly over Stewpeas AND Hall in defence?

For me, I'd PREFER Gorkks n Connoly as CBs but accept that Connoly, Stewpeas and Gorkks worked last year...why not stick with that and borrowdale in for delaney? In a fairnesss Gary seems a better player than delaney.

Why are we tinkering with the ONE thing that didnt need looking at?
sorry mate but trying to deflect the real problem doesn't wash with me, nothing to do with the defence, City scored 1 goal (which apparently was a cracker) we scored nish, end of

we need a quality striker & we'd be OK

We need a couple of BIRCHAM, GALLEN and FURLONG types who will give their all for the shirt.

3 games in and we're all pi$$ed off!

            Good observation

But do we have a competant CCC (2nd tier) squad?

            I'll answer myself - no.

We will never be able to string a decent run of 15 games together because we have allowed a succession of *****s to put together a squad that is all over the place, totally unbalanced, totally over-paid and totally uninterested in what this club has stood for in my 30 odd years of support.

I said TYPES - by that I meant combining decent ability with 100% effort.

I'd hazard a guess that a hugely overpaid substitute forward from Preston, a journeyman Seria B/C striker and a few uncomitted Prem loans wont cut it at this level either.............

i agree with a lot of that.

I actually think we could....and go with this....someone of teh ilk of robbie savage (a couple of season ago).

A leader on the pitch..a leader in midfield? Something we dont have. (and dont say rowlands..a hes cack and b his fitness record is only overshadowed by how bad cookies fitness is)

Scott quite agree. We definately need a leader and maybe Dieter could be that man
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm assuming you weren't there tonight Scott, Hall played very well tonight I would personally pick Gorkks and Connolly but Hall played very well tonight and Stewart was fairly good too, Ramage is ok but a bit shaky and Borrowdale offers nothing really average defensively and not a great deal going forward.

With yet another new manager coming in it was bound to happen. Theyre always going to bring in their own ideas. Too many manager/coach changes inevitably leads to instability. Blackstock cited this as one of our main problem areas in his latest interview.

                                So i just read this on Reports site;

"- Magilton Quote About Not Chopping and Changing
"[For Accrington Stanley] Magilton has no plans for a policy of squad rotation."I'm not going to try and do that," he added. "We've kept near enough the same sort of side that we fielded for the first league game and it's important to have the continuity and belief in the squad. Ben Kosky/Kilburn Times"

Is he taking the Michael? I've just had a look at the starting 11 for our 4 games including Exeter.

Only 3 players started all four; Cerny, Routledge and Borrowdale.
19 different players have been used in 4 starts and I havent even counted the subs.

I accept that there have been a couple of injuries but really, how can he say "We've kept near enough the same sort of side that we fielded for the first league game and it's important to have the continuity and belief in the squad"

I was worried about Magilton, now i am scared.
