I have been thinking about this and I think our only sensible option on current form is to play a 4-5-1 formation with Hoilett and Taarabt in the wide positions and encouraged to get forward whenever we are in possession. Cisse is in terrible form and Wright-Phillips has no end product, leave these guys on the bench for now. A solid bank of 3 behind with Mbia in the holding role and 2 out of Granero, Park or Faurlin just in front, obviously assuming that we have some defenders fit at some point soon so Mbia can move into midfield. I think with Boswinga, Fabio and Traore as our full back options offering something going forward that could be a good side that will score goals.

As I have pointed out in previous posts, our biggest problem right now is that with just a couple of injuries in key areas we end up looking makeshift again. Pretty terrible given the size of our squad and the investment made!

Its a thorn in the QPR side which is going to haunt us for not getting a fourth striker or not including campbell.
MH f*cked up really well there with adding too much midfield players knowing that derry and Ephraim probably won't get much games.
Its not as if he had not much time cause he should have known what he did need after last season.
Further making Park captain and not able to get things rights in a game is very disappointing for a well experienced coach.

Hogan in over DJ baffled me the minute I saw the 25 man squad named.

Would absolutely have dj in the 25, quick , rangers an knows where the goal is . You live an die by your decisions and sparky is gonna regret not bagging a goal scorer . Having three named strikers in a premier league squad is quite frankly ridiculous

Agreed, not only 3 strikers but all with injury problems and also very inconsistent scoring records and poor goals to games ratio, if you look at their career stats

the other issue is that SWP, Faurlin, Granero, Park, Derry, Diakite, Mbia and Mackie will struggle to get 10 goals this season between them, putting added responsibilty on the 3 strikers we have got along with Adel & Hoilett
Can't win games without goals, I know I'm stating the bl...ing obvious but why can't MH see this. We all can!!

For me it's about the only thing Hughs has done wrong but it's but it's massively wrong and come back to bite him in a big way ,he wanted to go with A J fair enough but knowing his fitnes question ,he could swap A J and D J week in week out without changing the system as they are like for like ,makes you wonder if he has something against D J and (IF) he has he shoudn't let it cloud his judgement

Id have had DJ and AJ. 3 strikers really aint alot in the PL, especially given as theyre all the "wrong side" of 30. Big risk taken by MH. As you say, I dont think he has done alot wrong at all and he has my full backing, but naming so many midfielders (including Hogan!) and only 3 strikers when we have DJ sitting there twiddling his thumbs does baffle me abit.

Wouldn't mind betting dj has a bit of a chip on his shoulder and hughes likes a yes man which people like dj an adel arnt hense their expulsion from the squad. Seems to have his favs and that's that . Shame really cos I started a thread a while back suggesting dj would be a useful addition

You may well have a point there I saw something this morning that M H has full backing but been told to heal a rift in the dressingroom ,Even if D J has a chip Hughs should concern his self with football he doesn't have to like him

Think Hughes is the type of guy who once he's made a decision hell stick with it which is a shame for the likes of dj , it can't be a footballing decision unless he doesn't rate him as a goalscorer which would surprise me. Think that if u cross sparky you'll know about it

Emmanuel Adebayor reported unhappy under AVB. QPR should try to sign him..then trade out Rob Green

                                for me

for me it would be a case of getting rid of dowie and eiphram

and we should never have got rid of helgerson and dj campbell

but its not all about this

against everton hughes should have sent on cisse and mackie but kept zamora on the pitch

hughes just dosnt seem to understand that to win matches you need goals

against arsenal its not even worth watching the game because we have no strikers and zero creativity going forward,we will definately lose 2-0
