Not quite. But totally disillusioned that after all the backing provided by our new owners, all the sensible efforts behind the scenes to move the club forward, we have to endure the rubbish we saw on Monday. Not because we lost, but because of the way we lost. Not because of those players who played really badly, but because we were denied watching our most exciting and effective players. Not because this is still happening after 6 games, but because it is still happening since January having spent millions, being backed through 2 transfer windows and getting the players the manager wanted.

I'm thoroughly fed up watching a team devoid of creativity. I don't want to see Taarabt and Hoilett on the bench when the likes of Park and Onuoha are on the pitch. Watching those players give away soft goals through basic mistakes and laziness. Who has scored a really good goal against us? How many have been soft? Sure, we played some good stuff against Spurs, but the last 5 minutes of the first half was full of warning signals which the manager didn't react to, so all the good work was undone. That is why we are rock bottom. And it is why, despite all their lovely, pretty football, Doncaster are now in League 1.

I want our team to go out and give the crowd something to get excited about. If we lose, so be it. If we lose to teams with better players, then fine. Losing at home to the likes of Swansea and West Ham is not acceptable. Or at least it isn't in the manner we lost. I don't like driving up from Brighton and seeing the team announced in the pub and knowing what to expect. And what we are going to be denied because of it.

Other than all that, I'm happy enough.

No I didn't, but I am not suprised.

Isn't he also our second top league goal scorer along side Ali; beating our out & out striker Cisse who has only managed a cup goal?

Don't know how old you are mate, but having watched the likes of Marsh, Bowles and countless other players from those times, I can say with absolute certainty that the likes of Park, would not be remembered 30-40 years later. Well, not for the reasons the others are anyway. Adel Taarabt will. He is the type of player that will get kids falling in love with football, Park will not. Adel can and does do things that most of us couldn't pull off if we tried for years, as opposed to a bloke who runs around a lot, achieving not much at all and showing why United got rid of him when they have their least attractive side for years.

I get you. I've said exactly this to my friends recently - I'll be telling my grandkids about Adel, but I'll have long forgotten Mackie, Derry, Park etc by then.

I wish Taarabt was playing every week too, I'd play him if I were manager (though of course we don't know exactly what goes on behind the scenes - I don't believe all these niggly injuries necessarily exist...)

It's not the fact you want Adel to start that I find ridiculous, its the way you think the fact he's not starting is some sort of mega disaster in the history of QPR, big enough to contemplate not going anymore. I was far more concerned about Rangers when Tony Scully was on the wing, rather than now. Put SWP in our 2001 team and he'd look like Pele

Well, not for the reasons the others are anyway. Adel Taarabt will. He is the type of player that will get kids falling in love with football, Park will not. Adel can and does do things that most of us couldn't pull off if we tried for years, as opposed to a bloke who runs around a lot, achieving not much at all and showing why United got rid of him when they have their least attractive side for years.

I have total respect for Park, & was very excited when we signed him; I don't doubt his commitment, but I do find him very frustrating to watch. I understand that he is not playing in his prefered posistion, but I am not really seeing any leadership qualities that justify the captains armband.

I don't agree with Brighton asking about Gengs age; surely anyone supporting our team, whether they are 12 or 100, should be aware of our history. Any Rs supporter who is not aware of Marsh or Bowles, can not really claim to be a true supporter.

I do agree that Adel will have kids falling in love with his style of football, and I am almost certain that he will be remembered many years after he has retired for both the skill & the shock that he brings.
One thing is certain, with Adel in the side, you never know what to expect other than a rollercoaster of emotions.

As for his age, I didn't ask. Just said I didn't know it!

And if his opinion is different to mine, then obviously that is fine too. And if I come across as a miserable old git, there could well be a reason for it.

I never saw Marsh but Bowles is my all-time football hero. We've had some skilful players over the years, like Currie and Wegerle, and I think Adel will have legendary status at LR one day.

If he keeps scoring goals like he did on Monday, it will happen sooner rather than later!
