ive always been in favor of barton , he is a leader on the pitch and always wants the ball . however he is a marked man in the PL every manager will tell his team to wind up barton and watch him retaliate , i doubt if he has enough about him to behave , i hope im proved wrong

With the exception of the last few home matches of the previous campaign, Joey Barton was absolutely useless for QPR. I lost count of the number of abysmal set pieces he was responsible for, as well as the amount of times he gave away possession inside his own half. As for his 'leadership qualities' - yes, he really showed them against Manchester City, didn't he? A massively overrated player with a huge ego. He will always be more interested in his Twitter account than football. There is absolutely no way that he is the answer to our problems.Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Why dwell on the past? Do you not think he has enough about him to help our situation?
From what I remember when he was in the process of signing this & other QPR messageboards were going into meltdown wanting to know if he'd signed. Yes he was very frustrating but you don't become bad overnight & we are lacking leadership badly & I personally think he could help us. But I respect others who may not think the same, that's fair enough.

We'll get a couple of wins under our belt and he will soon slip from our consciousness.......
