They are not winning enough tackles, they give the ball away too easily. Neither offer a real attacking threat and rarely play killer balls and deliveries from dead balls are below average

We simply cannot afford both in the team they are too similar

At 2-1 Graneo should have equalised it was a terrible miss. Taarabt played a few passes today neither are capable off

Disagree with me the results speak for themselves points and wins what matter

Off the pair Graneo is better so Faurlin must be dropped

The pair are getting far too many plaudits for my liking whilst the rest of the team get slated

I offered up this opinion a couple games ago and no one agreed...I wonder how many will agree when we haven't won a match by November.

Stop playing players out of position, change the centre midfield and start Taarabt every match down the left
I agree. I think it worked for a couple games but now its been sussed out. We were much better when we added Samba to the midfield.

I think it also has the affect of meaning Hughes pickes more deffensively minded wingers like Park which when we have Hill and Oonuha as full backs mean were left with absoloutley no width.

It comes to down to all doing there jobs and our manager never did his. I was sitting next to Wally Downes and Neil Mcdonald last week againgst Reading and make no mistake were prepared to expose our lack of defensive full backs.

Look, it was 2 vs 3 in the middle. They would have to have been exceptional today in order to look good. It was a gamble that Hughes took in order to play both Zamora and Cisse up top. He showed his faith in them by doing that but it was way to risky and it showed that it wasn't the right decision... We should have matched them with 5 in midfield with maybe Taraabt or hoilet as AM in a 4-2-3-1 and maybe changed it later on in the game but that would have drawn other criticisms on here about how we can't play with only one striker at home and so on and so forth....

Agree with the OP about the centre of midfield but disagree about Granero. IMO he doesn't have a proper role where Faurlin is a deeplying playmaker he nicks the ball and pings about passes but Granero spends too long on the ball, doesn't put enough tackles in and loses out through being weak. I like Granero but would have preferred we invested in a defensive midfielder like De Jong as I feel Faurlin would work better with this kind of player. Also Tarbs and Faurlin link up really well.

I think the starting formation was fine, but he should have changed it earlier when he saw we were so over run in the middle.

I was saying AF was overrated in the Championship....just remember the hype by some on here not long ago, saying "sign him up on a new contract", "he will be snapped up by a top four side" etc, etc....he's slow and can't tackle....wait for it....

neither granero or faurlin are quick and thats the problem with them....oh and they also get bullied by diame and nolan. I do think they can take us forward in premiership but they need an enforcer alongside them.

Well said mate. You only need one player in the midfield who is gonna pass around the midfield

Like who, Samba, Mbia? If we play AF, EG and 'a.n.other/enforcer' what formation is he gonna play?

Samba. Full backs provide the width and fabio, bosingwa will be back soon. Up top you have zamora, with adel and hoilet/cisse/swp/mackie (take your pick). Adel in free role.

Cant see it as all his team's are about team shape and organisation. You make a great point but doubt it will happen.
