  • John Terry

Found guilty, banned for 4 games and fined £220k.
Bit confused how the FA found him guilty but the courts didn't?

What was the liverpool players ban I'm sure it was more than 4 games?

The court case was to establish whether he was acually being racist hard thing to prove 100 %) (....whereas the FA case was based on him using racist language (which he admitted to even though he claims he was repeating what someone else had said ) .

The FA have to be seen taking a very firm stance against racism......in court Terrys very expensive legal team managed to create some doubt about whether his comments were used in a racist attack or he was repeating what he thought AF had said he called him.....

All in all John Terry is a scummy little **** and he will get all he deserves.....Karma

Good decision by FA. And as an added bonus he's left the England set up too. Win win.

Its worth looking at the FAs announcemnets in first the Suraez case and then the Terry case.
In the Suarez case it was announced immediatley he had been foung guilty of using insulting behaviour and then he had been found guilty of using a word which referred to someones colour etc. Suarez was fined £40k and recived an 8 match ban.
In the Terry announcement it only says he has been found guilty of a misconduct charge (no metion of wether they have found that there was mention to colour etc) and Terry gets a 4 match ban and a £220k fine.
Not sure what you can read into it but clearly the difference in ban and indeed the fine. I would be staggered if Terry doesnt appeal

so if the fa say hes guilty of racist laguage, we all saw the racist language how can he be found not guilty in court

that's what I thought at the start of this thread? Apparently, you can make a racist comment but that doesn't mean you are a racist.
I only have a small brain, so this is hard for me to get my head round!!

by the way, does this mean we can all swear and say offensive things to foreigners and not get charged?
