Harry would be a disaster MH must be given time and patience is required. Some of the rubbish about Cesar, Granero and Faurlin I heard last night in upper loft beggars belief, what exactly do these fans expect. Only good thing is none of the players actually understand these *****s.

QUOTE=Jimmy Rabbit;941871]I agree fully with the OP.

All talk last night about let's get Harry. So Harry will guarantee us wins will he? I don't think so. I'm a big fan of Harry Redknapp actually but ffs has no one seen or at least heard how good we were the last 2 Premier League games against 2 of the strongest sides in Europe?! Things will fall into place.

Also if we did get Harry (which we won't ) & he loses 3-4 games are we going to be asking for someone else? Pretty sure I remember the overwhelming response to Mark Hughes being appointed was a massive thumbs up from the fans.

Chill out. We have a run of games ahead where we will move up the table.[/QUOTE]

People are clueless if they think getting rid of Hughes and his team will help us. Hughes will come good. He has brought some incredible names to the team at a snip of the price we should be paying for these types of players and from the Chelsea & Spurs game we can see they're starting to play some really nice football. With Mbia playing his first match, we were never gonna be 100% at the back. These things take some time. Our quality all over the pitch will now start to convert into results. Mark my words. The West Ham match will be the start of a good season for us.

I have just ventured on here expecting the worst. But I must say it is encouraging to see so much common sense being talked.

It feels like the holidays are here with all the nuts and fruitcakes appearing on the doorstep that is this forum. Really do think that Hughes did himself a disservice by playing such a strong side minus the back 4 in a useless tourney that only would bolster QPR fans desperate for any tin cup no matter how tarnished. He set himself up for a much-deserved backlash from fair-weather fans with little knowledge of the game. He should have rested the starting XI to avoid injuries and check out the caliber of the bench. Why risk the West Ham game on Monday for this. Now the team is doubly under pressure from the media and fans to win on Monday. This is the poor management skills that I can see most assuredly above the other things.

why is more blame not actually on the players? why is it MH fault that he picked a good team? granted some where out of position - but when we say "out of position" we're not talking about putting Bob in goal or clint up front - we're on about a few yards further left on the pitch. they are professionals and with that in mind should have beaten reading. didn't. the free kick for their equaliser - nothing to do with people out of position it was a poor decision to go for the ball then and there. Pogs winner - there was noone tracking back...regardless whether we're looking for a defender or striker...there was noone in the box. that's not MH fault...that's the players fault.

I take your point jaxon2000 about he should have just fielded a weakened team and if we lost it wouldn't matter. but on paper - who would have thought the team we put out would lose?

Sure, we're disappointed with the result on Wednesday and the Swansea game. The other games have produced what we expected (realistically), however several of the performances have been better than expected.
As supporters, we're entitled to our opinions and we pay our money but I don't think we are in danger of creating more pressure unnecessarily.
Worried, no. Slightly concerned, a bit.
The next 7 games with the possible exception of Arsenal away, look like games we could get a decent collection of points.
IMO we should take stock after that.
We've had a disappointing start but the fixture list was tough on us.Realistically, what did we expect. Granero, Faurlin, Cesar, Nelsen, Boswinga didn't play aganst Swansea.
Keep the faith, we'll be fine.

Changing manager now would be ridiculous, however in just over 3 months time depending on league position it might not be such a terrible idea.

I think the vast majority are happy to support MH for now, but that shouldn't stop people questioning his decisions. It'll be a sad day for football when we stop discussing tactics, players and management.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

Sure, I mean he only had last seasons window, the rest of the season, the whole of the summer, pre - season, and the start of this season to make some coherent sense. Wake up to the reality of the form book.

And why do people assume the alternative to Hughes is a return to the bad old days? What have unsuccessful old managers got to do with it? Except of course that most of them have higher win percentages and better away records.

So do we now want the manager out on the back of a shocking DEFENSIVE dsplay last night.
I suppose he'll get blamed for the injuries next!! Let's blame him for the weather as well and the sh.. hot dog I had last night.
                        That's obviously his fault
