pure and simply.. a reality check.

we're expecting far too much of this team.. regardless how much we've spent we're not going anywhere near top 10.

relegation scrap again i feel - i am though expecting us to be a clear abit sooner than last game of the season.

we lost mainly today because of the team selection and tactics.

too many times we're going long ball to cisse and if we try and play it on the ground we're playing so narrow we have no space.

cisse is most effective when he is in and around the box. get wingers bombing down the wings, crosses in - not all this arsenal like pass the ball into the net..

taarabt and hoilett need to play together on either wing - will provide us with some real creativity which we lacked. anything good that happened going forward imo was because hoilett looked to take on 2/3 of their players.. otherwise we had nothing.

I'm a mackie fan boy but again he doesnt suit this team's way of playing..
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
    Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I'm pretty level headed, but Reading had as many new signings as us and have 0 points in the league. This was a battle of the bottom 2 and we lost.

I'd not begrudge anyone coming onto the board to moan tonight, that's what the MB is for after all. In the morning we can analyse the positives, of which I'm sure there will be some.

Felt the weakness last night was the defence, especially Hill, being uncomfortable when Caesar rolled the ball out to them. All they could was pass it back to him.
Also what are the rules concerning names and numbers Their second half substitute's shirt was completely blank.

REALITY CHECK - Our defending is shocking and until it improves, we're going to struggle, regardless of who is in midfield or up front. We played well aganst Chelsea and Spurs and still scored twice last night. THE PROBLEMS ARE AT THE BACK.
By the way, the bloke with no number wasn't a sub, he had claret on his original shirt

Unless you're worried they brought on Messi as a ringer, It doesn't really matter. The 'blood shirts' are quite often blank when a player replaces his shirt with blood on it.
