Now is the time to get our Argentinian mistro to sign a new deal me thinks before the bigger clubs start sniffing about. Be great to get him on a new 4-5 year contract so he can become a true QPR legend. Anyone know how long he has to run on his current deal?

I think it expires next year. We have to get him on a long contract but unfortunately that doesn't mean he will stay. When big clubs come knocking players heads get turned, especially by agents, prospects of winning trophies, European football and playing for your country. The only advantage of a long contract is we could profit big time. I'd rather him playing for us than the money
We will lose him one day, that's not being negatve just realisticOriginally posted by SpankwiR View PostNow is the time to get our Argentinian mistro to sign a new deal me thinks before the bigger clubs start sniffing about. His agents will already been sniffing around as its their big pay day, we have to hope that when they sorted out the contract last time they successfully removed all the third party people and he dosnt meet a idiot of an agent who he likes.
I plan just to enjoy him while i can and hope he signs, because you know with the current owners if he leaves it will be to win medals or for obscene money that we wont pay.One for all.... and all for one

I think he's happy here and feels he wants to stay, especially following all the support we gave him when the inqury was going on at the end of championship season.
However, we have to be realistic as well. Would any of us turn down big opportunities in our work?
Hope he sgns but that also doesn't guarantee him staying long term. If someone big really wants him, they'll get him. He's a great player and hope he stays forever as we can build a strong around him, Granero, Diakite, etc.
Not being negative, just honest and realistic.
