last season was last season. this season he looks a shadow of the player he was last season. every touch he seems to take is heavy and is constantly offside. i was very encouraged by what i saw from hoilett yesterday, not amazing by any stretch but definite potential with him and bz as a pair

i know what you're saying and if Cisse showed me something in the games he's played in, id have to agree with you but i don't see how we can come away from a performance like that at white hart lane especially first half and change it around. We are playing west ham and surely this side will create even more chances. We have players who can score goals in the side and i'm certain the goals will flow with or without Cisse.

Thank you. Strangely, I have... Oh and the other reason for my absence was I discovered Facebook. But there were only so many conversations about other people's sandwich fillings I could take, so I've come back. I bet I now get asked what my favourite cheese is?

Bear in mind strikers need to develope understandigns with midfielders and vica verca. He didn't play with Park, Granero, Faurlin or Hoilett last season and has had very little match time with them this season to develop that understanding, when the pass is likely to be released etc and when to time the runs. They need to get this also. It's like sprinters in a relay team, knowing when to go, it needs to be timed perfectly or its no good.

That possibly allows some leeway on the offsides. As for the touch, it could be a confidence thing. He looked great pre season and has hardly had a look in since the team started to gel a bit.

it's also interesting that already we seem more disciplined than last year and unfortunately Djib's suspect temperament caused us problems. Also, with our disgraced ex captain away, there's every chance we'll keep 11 men on the field which you would hope increases our chances of winning more games.

I think i heard an interview with him after his 2nd red for us and he said he'd only had 3 in his career, including those 2.

I would like to see Cisse replace Wright Phillips for the West Ham because out of most of our players, he is the one who is likely to find the target despite the fact that he is not on form at the moment. Wright Philips, however, has never scored a goal for us in a competitive game yet which is absolutely shocking! I hope Hughes gives Cisse and Hoilett a run out against Reading in the Cup because I think they could do with a bit of match fitness.

cisse's had 1 bad game where the whole team was off.. giving him 10mins here / there isnt going to do anything.

his next run of games will see if he is in form imo.

people need to realise he is a luxury player.. cant play him on his own up front. he will not hold the ball up and we dont seem to be able to push up high enough to play him in behind the defences.
