  • Hill was great

Said after the Norwich game I think he is good enough at this level, so was glad to see him put in an awesome shift today.

The timing on some of his tackles in the second half was superb. Very solid when called upon for the whole 90 minutes. Dyer was also fantastic, as were Neddy and Nelson. The back 4 plus the keeper were sound and didn't deserve to concede those 2 goals.

i was worried before hand about our defence, but they did really well to be fair. maybe having cesar in goal has given them a bit more confidence and self belief? just a thought though

He was superb. Nice to see Defoe acknowledge that tackle too.

i feared the worst when they had a penalty shout early on, I thought he'd dived in too recklessly, but I was totally wrong thankfully, he stepped up when we really needed him.

We'll need him again in the next few games too no doubt.

Top performance today. Looks like he'll get a run with all our injuries.

Yeah, I'll hold my hands up. Was worried about Hill being in the team today, and he proved me wrong. Much respect to the geezer.

Loved the Hill. - Nelsen pairing. You wouldn't spill their pints would you?

Players like Hill will only be allowed one bad game before they are consigned to the scrap heap by lots of posters on here. If a player has a list of top clubs on his cv and a big transfer fee/wage then he will get 3 or 4 games, maybe more.

Thought Hill and Nelsen were solid today. Also think the next game against west ham will suit them, as they are strongest in the air and we know there is only one way big sam plays.

Just when many of us had written him off again he comes up with another solid performance! To be honest I was very concerned that a Hill/Nelson pairing would be ripped to shreds but like many here I was wrong! These are the stories that make sports so fun to watch for me, I'm always pulling for the underdog, maybe that's why I became a QPR fan come to think of it!

i wrote him off and to be honest im still sceptical he can continue his good form. great performance yesterday no doubt, but im not sure he can keep it up. if he does, ill hold me hands up.

Was great last season. Out-of form v Norwich, but again proved yesterday that defending is not only about pace but also brain. Not the best defender we have but a great cover.
