Hughes rates Cisse or he wouldn't have bought him. If he's not showing him enough in training then I respect Hughes decision. He'll have his chance against Reading I suspect. If he scores against them, then we can talk about him being in the team against West Ham.

I thought BZ and JH played well together today, it just worked

cisse hasnt been playing because he doesnt work hard enough defensively and our last run of fixtures have been against top sides. he will be back in the side come the west ham game, where we can afford him in the side. Also i think spurs switching bale further forward at half time made the difference in the game today.

Looked more like a 4-4-1-1 to me with Hoilett just behind Zamora.

That's how it looked to me, Hoilett was roaming around much more than when he has been played on the left wing, he needs to start scoring for us though!

i thought hoilett was much better in that role than on the wing. ones he gets his scoring boots back he'll start banging them in.

Was impressed with Hoilett overall, he hasn't that much game time so will get better. I'd stick with him and bz up front, thought they looked decent and both of them linked well with midfield.

I don't see how any true Rangers fan can fail to be delighted, excited and optimistic after our performance. Friedal made 3 fabulous saves in the first half. On any other day, it would have 3-0 at half time. I don't think 90 seconds of good fortune should gloss over the truth. I know it's a results business and points on the board, etc ,etc but we have some real quality now and results and a bit of luck will come. Even when they went in front, we still looked better than them. It was only at the end they caught us on the break, coz we were chasing the game. On a positive note, we've also got 3 of the tougher games out the way very early. Let's keep our heads up and not be despondent, if we were playing badly, I'd be more concerned.
Faurlin, Granero and Park have now dominated Spurs, Chelsea for long periods and the second half at Man City.
It's only a matter of time before we start winning.

I agree with the sentiment of your post but that sentance I dont. Optimistic & maybe even excited? Yes - encouraging performance that will beat alot of PL sides. But delighted? No way. Im not here to make up the numbers in this league and being 1 up at HT, in control of the game and losing 2-1 will never ever make me delighted. Did you go to the game btw?
Other than this entance though I pretty much agree with it all.

Yes Matty, I did go. Not delighted with the result obviously, but delighted that we are playng with flair, have a mix of players who work, keep the ball and try and play the right way. We've all suffered enough over the years watching sh-t, so to see quality players from Man U, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Chelsea playing for us is reason to be delighted.
It wasn't long ago, we were shopping in the lower leagues for players

Despite the result I honestly think we can now at last kick on this season as the performance on any other day would have got us the three points with ease and as long as the players put the result behind them and believe in their own talent then we will soon start winning

I personally was very proud of the team yesterday

I'll second that, we've just had 3 of the top teams in the league and played well, it's only time before results turn, especially with weaker opposition to come

On the other hand, we all expected Bale to be shifted to winger in the send half so Something should have been done about it. The problem we have the slowest defenders at the moment.

you have a point there. the difference when bale moved there was noticeable immediately. i'd have put park on the right to man mark him and shove hoillet out left. that said even when spurs were "on top" they only had a handful of really threatening breaks.

When we give a performance like that and the cameras zoom into the spuds fans around the ground and see the horror on their faces like in the first half don't it make you so proud that little ole QPR can do that at White Hart Lane. Ok we did not win but everyone knows that Spuds were lucky or we were unlucky and anyone who watched that game are not gonna relish playing us. Just cant wait for the next game.
