  • Does Hughes actually think our team is decent

Make no mistake we were awesome today and fully deserved to be winning ay half time but why did Hughes persist in playing just one up front for the second half?

We could and should have gone 442 for the second half as we were so far on top and all the Spuds fans I listened to on the train back to town were all saying how superb we were today

Should be Cisse up top with Zamora and (R to L) Park Granero Faurlin Hoilet across the middle IMO.

Because as you said we were in total control of the game - why change it and disrupt the balance of the team and lt them back in.

Lets face it we unlucky with the first goal and the second was a foul, apart from that Spud u Likes were not in the game.
One for all.... and all for one

Why should Cisse be starting? He's looked crap so far this season. No tracking back, no team ethic.
I love the guy and think he'll come good, but he needs to earn a spot in the team like everybody else.

How can he earn it from the bench? The gus a natural goalscorer, as he showed us last year. Give him games and he gives you goals, its that simple.

Come on Matty there is only so much you can defend him, he needs to up his work rate or start knocking in the goals. To be honest his record at other clubs is similar, very good starts then appears to loose a little bit of interest.

                      Is it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Djibril_Ciss%C3%A9#Club

I appreciate he has looked abit un-intersted when he has played this year but my point is we have ourselves a antural goalscorer that saved our ar$es last year and beacuse he isnt quite doing this same this year after a few games (including inly 2 starts and 1 up top on his own) it seems some fans are starting to get on his back. I agree he needs to show abit more fight when he comes on, but surely we should start him up top with BZ vs Wet Spam?

You dont you earn just coming off the bench you also earn it on the training feild by showing hunger and desire. Let face it if he showed more defensively he would get in the side. The teams we have been playing need all 11 to defend and chase down otherwise the would have killed us (Man C, Chelski, Spuds u likes). We all have ago at del for not tracking back, well Cisse is another, I do however expect to see Cisse or Adel play against the like of West Spam in for SWP, as we will look to create more chances and not need SWP defensive qualities that he brings.

I agree,if we had gone 4-4-2 they would not of been able to push on so much in the second half. There switch by putting Bale in a more advanced position after the break worked for them as he had only 1 attack in the first. Any lets take the positives out of the last couple of games, today we were awesome, probably the best team performance for a long long time considering the injuries we have and this on the back of a marked improvement last week against sc*m.

He got 20 minutes today, 25 minutes vs chelsea, 10 vs city, 20 v walsall, 90 vs norwich, amd 77 vs Swansea, and he hasn't scored yet. He might have been a natural goal scorer last season, but he isn't at the moment.Come on from the bench and perform well, impress in training, that's how you earn your place!
There was one time today when he lost the ball, and just watched as Spurs broke, making no effort to regain posession.
I didn't like how he mentioned his plans for "after QPR" in an interview a week or so back... It sounds like his head is already back in france. That's certainly what his current work ethic suggests.

also what's this about going 442? We already were 442! Hoillet played just off Zamora/alongside him. I admit i had a crappy view but i'm pretty sure that's how it was..
