  • Cisse and Dyer

Firstly very good performance today and other than for those 2 minutes we were far the better side and definently deserved something from the game. Starting eleven, dyer for Bosingwa, were superb and Holliet really showed why he is so highly rated.

Right to the title of the thread, two players one adored and one ridiculed by our fans.

Really frustrated with Cisse this season, there was one incident after he came on that summed him up. Good bit of inter play by us resulted in Nelson (yes our CB) putting in a brilliant cross inviting someone to attack it. Cisse just stood there, absolutely no effort to get on he end of it. In fact after coming on he didn't win a header or make any great effort to close anyone down, a real strength for us up until then. Beginning to think there might be something in the rumours of divisions in the dressing room, with the French players bing a big part in this. Traore and Tarrabt injured having not played, Diakite's issues and Cisse apparent lack of effort do seem a little suspicious.

On the other hand Dyer, played really well today following on from his good performance against City. Keep him fit and we could have a real player on our hands.

We seem to be getting better and better, just need that first win to push on. Come on U R'sssss

Cisse has been rubbish so far this season, hasn't put in any effort whatsoever.

in fairness cisse didnt have much time. often difficult for a sub to make an impression in a match of such intensity. mackie also anonymous in the short time he was on. don't know what if anything is going on with cisse but hughes needs to sort it out. we have midfielders such as derry and ephraim who never look like getting a game but no other strikers now. zamora has never been prolific and we cant expect him to score every game. badly need cisse to re-discover his form of last season. maybe he's one of those players who only responds to being the main man?

But in the time he was on the pitch he looked completely uninterested even though we were in with a real chance.

Doesn't look anything like last season when everytime he touched the ball it seemed to be an opportunity.

Well, we'll see. I think he just needs to bang his first one in and then he'll start banging them in again.

Anybody who knows the game would tell you dyer is a very accomplished footballer. I was shocked he completed 90 mins and i would shake the mans hand.. Didnt look like he had played so little football in so many years..

Cisse will get stick just like Berbatov gets stick.. Lazy as anything but he Will get on the score sheet.. The bloke cant play up top on his own

Cisse needs to be starting games up top with bobby. Do that and e will score you goals its that simple .

He's getting 10 minutes at the end of games I for one certainly won't be geting on his back anytime soon .

On the note of Dyer he was top draw and showed exactly why the club kept him on. I'm glad for him.

Nobody is or should be getting on his back, but you have to ask why is he only getting 10 mins at the end of games now. Against Swansea he was dire and not a lot better against Norwich, both of which he started.

There is absolutely no excuse for not giving 100% whoever you are!

Swansea up top on his own, thus making him come and receive the ball with his back to goal and making his game totally ineffective.

Norwich, he was poor yes no denying that as were near enough the whole team bar Park & Zamora. Hes played 2 game up top with BZ and had a couple of cameos, hardly enough to say hes been crap this year. Look at his record for us last season, it speaks for itself. Give him games & he will score.

i think that he doesnt like being up top on his own. he seems to give up before hes started when he is. but when he has bobby with him i think it makes him a better player (apart from norwich game). to be honest, i slagged off bobby loads towards the end last season, but he has been brilliant this year. he has worked so hard in every game hes played. and fair play to dyer today. out of position and out of practice but still looked natural

He is superb. The work he does up top is second to none, him & Park been best players for us so far IMO.

the amount of times iv seen him pick up the ball on the halfway line, pass it, and then be in the box within seconds, is unbelievable
