See? We are in tune with each other.

The new Morecambe and Wise has been born. You have to be my sidekick, though.

This thread is now finely poised between this section and Off Topic,
even the slightest sneeze might send it flying towards the latter
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

Yeah.......So, Sousa should be backed for the time being, IMO.

        Does that buy some time?

So KLR - just because you choose to just turn up, go to the football and leave again then that everybody else shoudl adhere to your way of enjoying the game? Your point is not valid. I'm sure if I came on and said everybody that doesn't go to the game and go for a drink should be banned - you'd be telling me my post was ridiculous.
Football is there to enjoy however you'd like to enjoy it - I haven't a problem with people who only go to the football and then home, personally I make a whole day and normally a while night of it as well. I have another set of mates at the football and make the most out of it. Where's on earth is the problem?

I totally agree with Pete in so many ways and do hold Sousa at fault for the way we have been playing in recent weeks and that is MY OPINON. We were dreadful in most, if not all those games and that was all down to the teams shape and setup which Sousa selected. My views are/were not hindered by alcohol as I have had probably one beer during all those games. My views are also based on travelling the length and depth of the country watching all those games with my own eyes and I am not basing my views on what I have heard on the internet, what I read in the papers or what Tom, Dick or Harry tells me down the pub! I was at every game baring Cardiff and Doncaster as evening games can be difficulty due to my job.

I won’t however slate or demand that Sousa is sacked and will still continue to voice my support for the team and the manager (whatever the season… whoever it will be) until the powers that be make a change. Just because Sousa has all those medals doesn’t make him a great English manager either. There are two sides to every argument. The key issue that I am struggling with is that I know for a fact that Sousa is a very stubborn man and that alone has cost us dearly this season (sorry I just couldn't refuse!).

Personally I was never keen on Sousa in the first place, partially due to his lack of experience and partially due to me being convinced that Dowie was not doing so badly as to warrant dismissal, but that is water under the bridge now.
Nevertheless and despite the recent poor run of results, I do not want to see him sacked as I have no reason to believe that he is to blame. I suspect it had to do more with the team's attitude towards Sousa and towards their duty to give their best. I hope very much that if there was an attempted team mutiny, the matter has now been resolved and we will finish this season in a satisfactory manner, with Sousa still at the helm and looking forward to him building a better team over the summer months.

I'm not trying to be santimonious in the slightest, if it appears that way, that is pure coincidence, I've done more than my fair share of booze & drugs & there is rarely a day goes past that I dont regret it, I would say when I was at my worst, maybe 4/5 years ago, I weighed just over 14 1/2 stone & was a physical & mental shipwreck of a man.
I now weigh just one or two pounds over 11 stone & yes I am proud of myself, I dont want a medal, but I am proud of myself, & I'm not one of those types who goes to a gym in expensive designer & stares at themself in a mirror for an hour, I dont think I have even been in a gym in a year, I have achieved all of this, purely through RUNNING, get a pair of trainers on and get out of that front door, its not about what you eat ( within reason ) Diets are a scam, its about exercise: burning more calories than you consume, the best way you can do this is by running, this is a fact.
Also I believe the point I made was valid, because on the one hand people can give me stick for not going this season & therefore not having a clue what I am talking about, but then on the other hand I can come back & say, well, Yeah I hold my hands up, I wasnt there, but you had 5 pints before the match had even started so why should I take what you say about the match / players / tactics as gospel truth ??

Kirill - what are you on about??? Do you go to the games... Get a grip man. We were in contention with a playoff spot and the guy tinkers with the team for 9 games on the trott! Players playing out of position all over the place. Anyone who thinks Hogan could be world class is a complete TEWAT IMO!

good speech...what about people who cannot run through no fault of their own?

easy saying what you say but only accounts for people who can.......so not really a fair arguement

That's it Hucknall - Saturday, I'm bringing my portable ring to Smutts and setting it up.
Your going to have to go a few rounds with me before the game and then a few with Pete afterwards.
