Forget Anton for a couple of weeks, don't know what the score with Mbia is. Options are Onouha, Hill or Boswinga in the middle. Boswinga was outstanding at centre half last season when he was switched there.
Don't know if Samba is going to play, anyone got any news

Althogh i think MH will play some variant of 5 in the midfield, or deep enough to help out the midfield, I would be dissapointed if Cisse didn't play. In games like this we may only get one chance and you need to have your most clinical finisher there to hopefully take it.
To make this work, and get Cisse in the team, why not play him and Zamora, but make BZ drop deeper in the hole to support the central area and act as a link man for the midfielders to play off and overlap.
Cisse can then be up high where he should be, on the shoulder of the last defender waiting to skin him for pace and get a chance. The fact he's so dangerous he will without doubt keep 2 CB's occupied on his own and that may allow BZ and others more space a bit deeper to play.
i would then keep the core midfield 4 the same as last week.

If we play 1 striker, it should be Cisse, as he is the best goalscorer we've got. If it was a choice between zamora or cisse as lone striker vs spurs - i'd reckon gallas and vertonghen(spelling) would struggle with his strength.
zamora will bring midfielders into play as well - with cisse he is a player we can only use in and around the box, otherwise we have no real outlet.Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
Lovejoy: "No?!"

The back 4 picks itself- With Hill and Nelsen it will certainly be no nonsense!! Defoe could potentially have a field day.
We need to go 4-4-2 with Cisse & Zamora if we're going to have a chance.
I'd rather we took the game to them, but knowing Hughes and how he sets his teams out away from home, we'll be very very defensive.

Ferdinand, Fabio, Mbia, Diakite, Traore all ruled out for sunday and Taarabt is doubtful. So I think MH will go with:
----------------Cesar--------------
Onuoha----Nelsen---Hill----Boswinga
JS Park----Granero--Faurlin---Hoilett
-----------Zamora---Cisse---------Last edited by SuperHoopNik; 21-09-2012, 08:41 PM."When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

A Hughes 4-4-2 with Johnson and Zamora up front was not going to dismantle anyone. Because Johnson is now out, there are a number of tactical options which could be employed to far greater effect than the predictable 4-4-2 so favoured by Hughes. Don't hold your breath.
