When was the last time their was an English Parliament, out of interest?

I'm not getting into the whole venn diagrams of the relationship between British/English again. It very clear that you view the British as a different group of people to yourself. I also believe that your views on the destruction of England as a nation is unwarranted, and a little paranoid. However you certainly should be allowed to display your St Georges cross wherever you see fit tbf. I have certainly hung my one (with QPR across the middle) out of my windows during the major tournaments.

I fully agree that the stewards removing the flag should absolutely know the regulations that they are enforcing, or at the very least be able to refer you to a supervisor who does.

We still don't know why the flags have been removed, have the club responded to anyone yet?
In 1707. England and Scotland lost theirs in the Act of Union and one parliament was created to govern Great Britain, at Westminster. Scotland of course has subsequently got theirs back, but we haven't. :(
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

If we haven't had one for 305 years, why is this relevant now as evidence of a conspiracy to destroy England?

I suspect he's also referring to the EU proposals to divide the country up into regions.

I just want to ask a question. When The British Empire became just that; an empire, and in a way gave the impression of ruling the world etc. Didn´t that eventually have to lead to your current issues with your huge population of people from the countries which you once ruled?
I have wanted to ask this question for a long time, and I have now found the opportunity to do it.

Ps. Maybe more to the point; In a way, partly, The EDL have stolen your flag then. But we have nearly the same ongoing discissions about our flag in Norway as well. Personally, I blame both the extreme right and west- wing groups for this tendency . It´s really saddening to witness.

I'm not sure you've phrased this right.

Are you saying our problems with immigration are based on the nations we once subjugated? Can you clarify please Shania?

Yes, That was what I meant. :=):

But, If I understand your history on the whole and your current immigration problems right, that´s not the issue, is it?

Thought so, then no I don't agree mate.

Many reasons for overpopulation. Most common reason is that there are not enough resources on the planet to sustain all the people on it. Won't go into a rant about this as my feelings on it are strong and this is not really football related.

Also, a lot of immigrants are from East European countries, Poland especially. Not to mention all the refugees we have taken from countries in this region. None of these countries were part of the Empire.

And the most important thing, is that during the Second World War we accepted many people in to do the jobs that people serving their country could no longer do. Which is the reason why many Afro-Caribbean workers came into the country in the first place. So not really to do with the Empire either. We also had women taking more jobs (and around the world too).

No problem, did a little on the subject for a project in High School. There's probably a lot on the internet about the subject. I'd imagine there's some good articles about Hitler's affect on the world would give you a broad view on immigration to be honest, as the Second World War was a major catalyst for the changes that affect us in the modern world. From technology, to economy, to society.

When John Prescott, now Lord Prescott, was Deputy PM, he attempted to regionalise England. He is on record as saying that England is not a nation, it's a collection of regions. If you google 'nations and regions', you will find some very interesting stuff. England does not have nation status according to some organisations like the BBC.

If you also google the 'Campaign for an English Parliament' of which I'm a member, you will read some extremely disturbing facts. The EU has divided the UK of GB/NI into 12 regions; Scotland, Wales, NI, and the 9 English regions.

You will also find a number of organisations that operate only in England, but insist on branding themselves as British, even though equivalent organisations exist in Scitland, Wales and NI. These include; Keep Britain Tidy, Carers UK and Age UK. Our English national identy is being slowly but surely eradicated at the expense of Britishness. The Tories and Labour both have Scottish, Welsh, and British branches, but not English. Likewise the National Union of Students.

This flag incident at the ground is symptomatic of the slow destruction of our national identity. It must not be allowed to happen.

A very interesting piece, QPRRicard. I should believe that to consider oneself an Englishman, must be a big part of your identity. I have also noticed that the Scots are a bit divided in respect to how they consider themselves better off in the future. Surely, interesting times ahead for you the younger generation, especially. :=):

Keep Britain Tidy, Carers UK and Age UK have hidden agendas to destroy England. This goes deeper than we thought......

Why do you think it is happening? (Please do not take that question as any kind of acceptance that this is actually happening?)

What do you propose be done about it, and by who?

I don't think there is a conspiracy to ruin England, but I think England is a bad "brand" if you want to put it that way. That would account for the seemingly "anti-Englishness" you are sensing.
