Have noticed the rudeness of the stewards. They are stuck in some seventies timewarp where every fan is a hooligan and in need to shepherding/ controlling/ telling off. The club needs to make it clear to these goons that they should treat supporters as customers - ie with respect - unless they have genuine reason to clamp down on someone. Then stewards might find they wd be treated with a lot more respect if they did that.

In this day and age the authorities slam anything to do with England offensive and if your're carrying a george cross or singing england songs your slammed a racist. I would ring up QPR and ask for a meeting with the head stewerd and ask why having a george cross up is deemed offensive. There used to be two geezers who had a portugal flag at the bottom of the R block week in week out, never was a problem.

Don't get ahead of yourself. There's absolutely no proof that this was actually removed because it was the England flag. By all means demand an explanation for the clampdown on flags (as there was on other non-England flags on Saturday). I'm far more offended by the flag in tribute to Ben Harrington being removed if we're going to be angry at any of it

If you start ranting like an EDL nutter about any England reference being racist, then you'll be ignored by the club.

The only way I can see this as being offensive....

Your thinking: I'm proud of both my club and country, I'd like to show this. I mean no harm.

Their thinking: You are linking supporting QPR as for the English only (possible right wing overtones?) and that would intimidate others, including foreign fans (which I'm sure if you asked any would be met by laughter).

And there's little to no chance that anyone at the club thinks like this. As has been pointed out the club actively sells stuff for club & country.

We haven't had a answer on why the flags were being removed on Saturday. Is it a new thing?

It's more than likely a health and safety thing which is being over-zealously policed (something stupid like a fire safety thing on the flags), and a bit of fan pressure should knock this on the head fairly quickly.

As long as a flag isn't blocking a view (the only place I can see that being an issue is one being hung over the edge of the Upper Loft), and hasn't got any obviously offensive message on it, and is blocking a revune providing advert..... :yush:, then there should be no problem at all.

just sit right at the back row of the upper loft, stewards cant be bothered to walk up there as they are to lazy! its like no mans land drinking, smoking the lot!

As someone said organise a flag day at a home match across all QPR message boards, then lets see what they can do about it.

Simple- we're in front of the Sky cameras next against West Ham so everyone dig out their flags and get them on show.

I do not think that it has anything to do with it being an England Flag. And it was the QPR sign on it that I was pointing to when I asked "Is this offensive" and he replied "yes" . Unbelieveable. I have an England flag because I'm English. I expect our fans from other country's to dispay their flags. Norway, Sweden, Portugal, Morocco, South Korea, Rep of Ireland, bring them all, they're welcome.
What I want to know is, am I going to get the same hassle on the last game of the season, when I'm next due to bring my Flag ?

when you see teams like arsenal displaying banners and flags etc, i think its a shame that we dont really have any.
