Fair point, I suppose we need to look at which other players can do a job supporting Zamora or Cisse.

bad news, wish AJ a speedy recovery.
Whilst he's played well in the last few games, he's not a prolific goalscorer and we should be ok, as there are other options as mentioned on this thread.
Can't blame anyone, these things happen

Mackie is a much, much better striker than he is a winger. A genuine poacher. We'll be fine.

Real shame. Him and Bobby Z had a really good understanding. Was half expecting him to be out at some stage, but all season??. Let's hope for a speedy recovery.

Not if the Swansea game was anything to go by. He was supposed to be playing off Cisse, but ended up all over the place, picking the ball up off the back four, leaving Cisse very isolated.

Poor ba$tard, gotta feel for him. Played really well vs Citeh and Chelski n all.

Big reliance upon Zamora now as we need him up top whetehr we play 1 or 2 uptop now as, IMO, when Cisse plays he needs Zamora with him and if we play 1 up top its gotta be Zamora also.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Stoke were allowed to change their 25 after submission deadline for Owen I beleive..... however, injuries happen, so we have to deal with it. That's the manager's job, building a squad with depth. We need Cisse and Zammo to stay fit, but that is a big ask. JM is not good enough if we want to be away from the relegation scrap - as MH and Beard have said we would be.

I didn't think AJ was a particulatly smart move TBH, but this is a real pain.

Mackie himself says striker is his preferred position. Hoilett and Adel can also play the role. What are the rules regarding emergency loans?

                      I believe that too
                      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
                      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

Gutted for him, always does the job. This opens up for Hoillet, and I'd like to see him play up front together with Zamora.

I have to be honest and say that I never wanted him here (injuries, celebration vs us foolham away), but thought he looked quality on saturday. His movement and pace made the defence of the so called champions of europe look distinctly average, I hope this doesnt finish his career hes had a hard time with it over the years.

I did say it,that Hughes was taking a big risk naming only 3 strikers in his squad,it was just bound to happen. So we have now 2 strikers left plus a couple of midfielders who can also play up front, excluding DJ and naming Hogan instead now seems like a very stupid move

Doesn't it show what dictators these prats are that make football rules QPR are paying D Js wages but can't add him to the squad to cover a injury with like for like player

Striker has been Mackie's position throughout his career - Mackie himself says its his best position. Its only at Rangers he's been also used on the wing.
