If vela goes anywhere i would of thought it would be to a bottom half premiership team not a middle of the road championship team.

      Really? Shimmin anyone?

Arguing with a scientist is like wrestling a pig in mud... sooner or later you;ll realise you're muddy and he's enjoying it.....

Still think we could get a decent young striker in if we sold the club to him by bigging up our midfield and telling him about the huge number of chances he'd get to score goals and make a name for himself.

Surely any striker would love that? Especially a Welbeck, Vela or Jackson.

Sunu is highly rated there - compared to Henry in his younger days.

No problem with the odd loan - tarrabt, the man u keeper etc - but for as vital a position as first choice centre forward poss playing in a one man attack, shouldn't we be looking to buy our own striker? Or is that "unrealistic"? If its for the whole season maybe fair enough but if its just till Christmas all that does is de-motivate our own strikers.

Shimmin had great potential and looked pretty good in his few appearances...

                was just a mega sicknote

                  Tim

Cox and Lita decided to go elsewhere, probably because of the higher wages on offer. Makes sense really.

from a QPR sense it makes no sense, why didnt we offer the wages, owners too tight again?

                      Of course it makes sense.
We offered what we thought they were worth.
Others coughed up more. That's capitalism for you.

                            Found this on Sunu:

Steve Claridge: Besides all the glitz and glamour of Arsenal's play, Gilles Sunu at times brought sanity to the proceedings by getting hold of the ball and playing the simple pass

"If you provide the service to Sunu, he will provide the finish."

if we had football people on board we should have had Beckford in the summer

but hey, beggars can't be choosers

Maybe we would have had Beckford if Ken Bates wasn't such a d1ck.

Depends how you look at it.
