  • Captain Park

Haven't seen anyone comment on the fact that Park refused to shake Terry & Cole's hands. Then, at the captains' coin toss, he blanked Terry again. Good judgement from the captain.

Team mates come together & help each other. Well done Park
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

The treatmment of Anton has been ludicrous and he is almost being treated as the perpetrator in all this. If he feels strongly enough that Terry meant what he said then fair play to him for sticking to his principals. It would have been far easier for him to back down and shake hands but he obviously gels let down and that Terry got off the hook. Let's not forget Terry caused the whole situation not Anton !

Could be better freinds and knows more about how the Ferdinands have been treated as i wouldnt be surprised if he is freinds with both Anton and Rio.

If he feels strongly enough then good luck to him, because if that happened to my reind i wouldnt shake his hand either.

Respect to both of them for that, if you ain't got no respect for someone why should you shake their hand.. As for Ashley Cole, what a scum bag he really is.

            Park

For those of you that went to the game on Saturday, did Park refuse to shake John Terry's hand? A number of reports on Sunday claim that he did. I know he didn't shake his hand at the coin toss, but did he snub the scum when all the players were shaking each other hands before the kick off?

Didn't notice it but I think he did when the players shook hands but didn't at the coin toss. People make big stories sometimes.

I also read that Park apart from being a friend of Rio, is also a very close mate of Evra and that may of been a factor. Funny if true, how complex and far reaching these interrelationships are and how people are effected in differing ways. I didn't notice the blank at the game but saw it on TV, Park is like the "iceman", you simply cannot read him. Gave it his all as well on Saturday, one of those players that just fills you with confidence and he's got no time for nonsense.

Apart from being a tireless grafter who gives everything, Park is loyal and decent and not shaking Terry's hand leaves us in no doubt where his loyalty is. Some people questioned the decison to make him captain, saying it was a marketing ploy, I don't agree, he's a top player, who leads by example and when other players see his industry, quality, commitment and loyalty that earns respect. He's alreads loved at Rangers and would easily walk into most PL teams

Park is a great player and as you say would walk into most prem teams no bother. Add to that the most respected manager in the game, possibly in the world, had complete and utter faith in him to play him in every one of Utd's biggest games. He wasn't a Carling cup Utd player, but a top class pro who delivered on the biggest stage, was reliable and dependable. The fact he played in all the big games is no coincidence, and i think for that fact, he was probably one of the first names Fergie put on the teamsheet.

I like Ji, he's a fantastic player, a good captain, and if he continues in this vein, he will become a legend at Loftus Rd.
I really do think, that Ji-Sung Park will be only the second ever captain of Queen's Park Rangers to lift a major trophy.

I agree. I noticed his actions when watching this on Football First. Park clearly does not like what Terry did. He may have been found not guilty of being a racist (although the fact he spoke the words was not in doubt. Park is loyal to his former captain and team mate and to his new team mate.

As for his performances/leadership, there is no doubt he leads by example, and for me is a good captain.

The only way a captain gets the respect of his team mates is to perform consisently, lead by example on and off the pitch, unlike his overrated predecessor.
Ferguson always trusted him, that should be all we need to know.
Park's loyalty to us has already been proved, not that it was in any doubt, anyway.

i haven't said one good word about park and i'm big enough too admit i judged him too soon

his standing by anton on saturday was a mark of the man, the performance i just got round to watching on sky match choice gave me a better perspective of the player

the potential of this trio makes me do a small s£xwee
