the potential of the current side / squad is to achieve a stable and secure position n this league. We're not likely to win any cups unless we get lucky draws in the cap one cup and the big boys play kids and knock each other out.
To get into the Eufa cup in 2/3 years, we've have to be better at the back and better up front. Very happy with Park, Faurlin, Granero and Diakite in midfield, genuine quality there

We have an awful awful habit of getting ahead of ourselves- especially since we've gone up.
Last year we all thought we'd get something at Fulham and plenty of other away games off the back of one or two good performances, most people thought we could get a result at Chelsea too- look what happened.
We did play well on Saturday, don't get me wrong, but this team still has a huge way to go and we could very very easily get turned over 3 or 4 nil at Spurs next week.

totally agree, there's a long way to go, don't agree about a drubbing at Spurs. They are much weaker than last year and we are much stronger. Fancy us to get something next week. Moving forward, when we've kept 3 clean sheets in a row, only then will I have real confidence about our prospects. Most football fans have unrealistic expectations. Are we any different?Originally posted by DouDou_87 View PostWe have an awful awful habit of getting ahead of ourselves- especially since we've gone up.

Fair point Bushey, they arent the team they were, but Defoe looks on form and could cause us some big problems. Plus we're going to have a real makeshift defence.
Clean sheets are the key in the this league, especially for us so we can get some confidence and become tough to beat.
