No not really we didn't deserve to win but didn't deserve to lose either



I could have worded it better but I don't think either side really created anything Hazard had a couple of sitters, you had Parks header and then Mikel played Zamora in we should have had a penalty would overall we wouldn't have deserved to win. We were bad enough in the first half but even worse in the 2nd the most disappointing thing for me was the way we seemed happy to settle for the draw against you late on.

I know every fan always looks at it from the perspective of their own side but think you underestimate how much we dominated the centre of the park. Face it, Granero and Faurlin looked better than Lampard and Mikel. I'm not saying we necessarily deserved a win because we didn't do quite enough in the final third - personally I'd have been tempted to go for broke as Chelsea were beatable and brought on Taraabt or Hoilet rather than Mackie - but we were undoubtedly the more likely of the two to win and gave you lot a fright second half.

We certainly deserved to win that game, it was there for the taking.
Champions of Europe, we all know how they stole that title, the most undeserving winners of the European cup ever.

Yep Lampard was awful Mikel was tidy on the ball but that is all he ever does he never adds anything going forward and I don't think he is that good at winning the ball back so is pretty much a waste of space. I think you worked harder and were better in midfield but I think a lot of it was keeping the ball without doing a lot with it, if you bought Cisse on earlier instead of Makie or one of the other players you mentioned I think you might have scored Makie is a grafter but lacks quality.

I don't see how Wright-Phillips gets a game either ahead of Hoilett he is pony, its only his speed that makes him look half decent.

fair comment. i guess its that old stick or bust decision managers have to make. both mackie and swp do put in a shift defensively and playing a team of your reputation hughes obviously felt he couldnt gamble too much. but yes it is frustrating because hoilett and adel offer a lot, lot more creatively.

re lampard i know he's not getting any younger but don't understand playing him as a defensive midfielder. his brilliance has always been arriving late in the box and scoring. take that away and you neuter him.

Yeah I agree but the problem is and its not a bad one we have Hazard and Mata who are both right now better than Lampard in that position so I think he is played as a holding player so that he can play which then means Ramires also gets played out of position.
