Also, if QPR can become successful more new fans, as well as those staying away from Loftus Road for above stated reasons, will make any new 40-45,000 around 80-90% full for many games. It's been proven by many clubs, that success and or a new stadium attracts fans.
Definately not, no season ticket this year for me due to change in financial situation so have had to purchase games individually when i can and cost me £43 + £3.50 booking fee meaning £46.50 for a restricted view seat yesterday. No matter as i didn't sit in it anyway but the point is totally agree with you we ned a bigger stadium and also with better entrances as getting in to the upper loft was pathetic yesterday probably 10 past 3 til i got in.

If you want a descent seat at LR you have ample opportunity to get it. Only reason someone is sitting behind a pillar is because they paid £300 on Viagogo.
Depends on what you describe as a decent seat.

the Pillars in the SA Rd and Ellerslie Rd stands dont just block the view of the goal, but vital areas such as the 6 yard box. Not many seats in these stands have clear views of the whole pitch (touchlines excluded).

Also, I dont call a seat in the Ellerslie Rod stand where my knees scrape along the sea in front (i'm only
5ft 7, so dread to think what it's like for 6 footers.

It's self perpetuating. We do well, more fans will want to come and more will be attracted to coming. Our ground (if we're honest) is not up to speed and if we have serious aspirations to play at this level, become established in the PL, attract even better players and ultimately challenge for trophies and European football, then moving is a must.
Been going for over 40 years, love Loftus Road but football's changed and we have to change with it. Bigger gates means more revenue which potentially will attract better players. Bring it on.

nobody will build it at a cost of several hundred million if they can't charge at least as much as they are currently charging and very probably more.

think the point is tickets were still available until - what? - two or three days before the match. gives you an indication of demand. if there was massively more demand than capacity it wd have sold out weeks ago.

The demand was there and it would have sold out much earlier if the family stand restrictions i.e. an adult can only go with an accompanying child, were not in place.

yeah but how many more? a thousand, two thousand? think the point is talk of 50,000 stadia is looking a bit ridiculous when we can only just sell out what for us is one of the biggest games of the season.

All Rangers fans know 4 or 5 other rangers fans that dont regularly go to home games for different reasons. Too expensive is one, especially in this economy. But a lot of fans just don't want to go to a stadium with the really poor facilities we currently have, and a shiny new stadium with space and good facilities will bring a lot of them back. We need a 30-35k stadium, and a good club marketing team to fill it imo.

I agree with this.....the Amex stadium on the south coast is a great example of a top notch stadium with an expandable capacity which will grow with the fan base....

I love Loftus Road but there is a huge part of me that accepts that it is not up to the job...

With the exception of perhaps Darlington, every club that has built a new stadium is getting bigger crowds than they used to.

It's mostly all down to the matchday experience, including comfort, views, facilities and of course quality of football & opposition.

We have to face facts, Loftus Road is an old, tired stadium that is not in a position to be modified. It is becoming a bit of an embarrassment to the Premier League and it is time to move on.

you are right about all knowing people who don't go, but its an open question whether the stadium is the problem. and as previously explained prices will go up rather than down. we certainly need a bigger stadium if the club is to grow. but its certainly a big risk and im sure glad it wont be my money invested in the project.
