London Pride has been handed down to us.
London Pride is a flower that's free.
London Pride means our own dear town to us,
And our pride it for ever will be.

Don't know one club that has a new stadium or drastically transformed its existing one where prices have gone down. Tickets only go down if you're relegated. If you want a descent seat at LR you have ample opportunity to get it. Only reason someone is sitting behind a pillar is because they paid £300 on Viagogo.
the Pillars in the SA Rd and Ellerslie Rd stands dont just block the view of the goal, but vital areas such as the 6 yard box. Not many seats in these stands have clear views of the whole pitch (touchlines excluded).
Also, I dont call a seat in the Ellerslie Rod stand where my knees scrape along the sea in front (i'm only
5ft 7, so dread to think what it's like for 6 footers.

It's self perpetuating. We do well, more fans will want to come and more will be attracted to coming. Our ground (if we're honest) is not up to speed and if we have serious aspirations to play at this level, become established in the PL, attract even better players and ultimately challenge for trophies and European football, then moving is a must.
Been going for over 40 years, love Loftus Road but football's changed and we have to change with it. Bigger gates means more revenue which potentially will attract better players. Bring it on.

nobody will build it at a cost of several hundred million if they can't charge at least as much as they are currently charging and very probably more.

All Rangers fans know 4 or 5 other rangers fans that dont regularly go to home games for different reasons. Too expensive is one, especially in this economy. But a lot of fans just don't want to go to a stadium with the really poor facilities we currently have, and a shiny new stadium with space and good facilities will bring a lot of them back. We need a 30-35k stadium, and a good club marketing team to fill it imo.

I love Loftus Road but there is a huge part of me that accepts that it is not up to the job...

It's mostly all down to the matchday experience, including comfort, views, facilities and of course quality of football & opposition.
We have to face facts, Loftus Road is an old, tired stadium that is not in a position to be modified. It is becoming a bit of an embarrassment to the Premier League and it is time to move on.Last edited by stanistheman; 17-09-2012, 05:40 PM.
