I see what you mean, but I've got very little confidence that our back 4 could cope without a shield in front, especially against some of the attacking midfielders that Chelsea have....... whichever decision he makes it's a BIG BIG call from Hughes

This way, we could have Park, Granero and Hoillet pushing up to support the striker and Faurlin and Diakite holding in the middle protecting the back 4

i can see us having 5 in midfield with 1 up front as that would appear to be the most effective way to combat chelski's midfield approach...it will be interesting to see whether he throws cesar straight into the starting XI or not. given the choice, i probably would...

Seeing as the other choice is Rob Green I would also probably start Cesar straight away.....

cant play ferdinand with torres' movement.. the two times torres was at LR he was off colour - he's clearly playing a lot better and anton is playing a lot worse.

do want us to play 5 in midfield though.. derry in for ferdinand, mbia next to nelson, park and hoillet on wings

if diakite is okay to play then him for derry. we need some strength in the middle.

This is the team for me, bring on Tarbs, SWP, Mackie or Johnson as impact substitutions but this should be our regular starting 11, need to start with 2 strikers!

i dont think he will drop green (just yet) i think he will use an excuse to do it sooner or later. I dont think samba will play either. I did like the OP team sheet, its very attacking but seeing as we will probably be defending more than attacking i would go

I wouldn't say Hoilett has been pants , probably looked out liveliest player v Swansea , not that anyone played well that game !! Was poor against Norwich and didn't play against city ! So I can't see how that makes him pants ! And didn't really take part in much of ore-season ! Judge him in 10-15 games !!

i agree looked lively against swans to start with, poor at norwich and v poor home to wallsall, that poor he wasnt played at man city.

i really hope he finds some form, he was the signing i was most excited about thinking it was a real coup for us. your right too early to judge, i was just hoping he would hit ground running.

great shout. would be delighted if we saw that lineup. if diakite is out id want derry in. only concern with traore is mata cutting in from the right.
