  • Scott Jones posts a strange rumour on Twitter and world's breath is bated

Starting a rumour / is stating on Twitter that Amit & the Mittals are to be "leaving the QPR family".

Have no idea what his track record is like with "ITK" info? Hopefully $hit as this certainly isnt what we wanna hear!
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I blocked him a long time ago. I like the guy just not his opinions
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

        I hope its not true..
I have a feeling that Amit is getting low profile
now..and his twitter account has been less mentioned about QPR :(

Huge pinch of salt with this.

I look at 2 things here....

If Amit is as into the project and QPR as he suggests, why leave now when things are just going to get exciting...?

If they did pull out, would it make any difference? Yes it's great having the richest bloke in the UK as co owner, but he's hardly been a sugar daddy now has he. Serious things started to happen with TF and his crew's arrival.

Also if they did sell up, it may be to TF or associates of his who i'm sure would only have best interests at heart.

wd matter massively imo. do the math. how much is fernandez worth? three hundred million? a fortune to all of us probably, but virtual peanuts in prem terms. what proportion of his personal wealth wd he tie up in a loss making business like football? ten, twenty per cent? can't see us sustaining prem status without the mittels unless fernandez is able to find some other v wealthy backers. it has been stated somewhere that the mittels have been funding 50% of transfers. you say they haven't been sugar daddies - well good luck finding anyone else soon who wd put in similar amounts of money. briatore's apparently looking for a club - do you think he wd put in that kind of dosh?

I don't believe the rumour has any substance, despite the fact (or maybe because!) the same thing more or less being written about in the Daily Fail recently.

It does highlight how vulnerable we are however, and how precarious our position would be if the Mittals were to walk. Let's hope it's a long and faithful relationship.

Mittal was only worth 300m once...his company is expanding every day..the consortium is where the dough is at...

The mittals are good to have on board but it may open a window to someone else.

i've yet to encounter a bigger loser than scott jones among r's fans

reading his ramblings reminds me of a kid i went to school with that would literally sh*t himself to get attention and ate his lunch sitting in the huge cylindrical bins behind the school kitchen

is the sadcase still flogging his worldy possesions on ebay while squatting in a shed somewhere in eastern europe?

                    'kin c0ck

We are on the Mittals doorstep.. Birmingham is not. If they leave it will be to leave the game... They still have to sell their half too. Mattyrangers or qprted arnt going to buy them. Someone with a lot of dough and intrest will have to buy them. What's the point in some bloke just buying them... We won't make them millions of pounds.

For starters TF is effectively a front man for a 3 person consortium, all reportedly worth similar wealth to him, Ruben and Ano... so approx £1bn.

Also if you honestly think the mittals have been funding more than their proportionate share of the company then i would imagine that is very incorrect. When they only have a 33% stake why would they cover running costs and investment to a greater degree.... doesnt make sense.

The point i was making is the Mittals have hardly been chucking masses of money at QPR.
