  • Do QPR have a international clause on Sterling?

Raheem Sterling (Who imho isn't that good and has no end product from what i've seen) has been called up to the England squad.

I think I saw QPR have a 5million international clause on Sterling, anyone else know anything?
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

It would be ridiculous if we didn't manage to include such a clause. I would hope there'd have been one for so many prem appearences also

Be hysterical if we have a 5m clause for an international appearance, he makes a 2 mins cameo and never plays again.

it was a 1 million transfer rising to 5 million depending on a number of factors such as breaking into the 1st team and playing for england, so yes we would get some money out of his 1st cap

however if he decides to play for jamacia....

There was a time when people criticised C Ronaldo for having no end product, give the kid a chance

I know I know but I think he'll just be another Walcott, pace but nothing else

Sounds about right. And I'd expect him to play for England whenever their next game is

Whilst your point about his talents are ridiculous, it's also ridiculous that he's been called up already.

We really do like buggering up our young players before they have even started don't we....?

Could be the FA want to nail him down for England before he gets to an age where he realises under performing 'Superstars' will retain their place no matter how shite they play and opts for Jamaica.

I read earlier this week that Rodgers was praising the FA for putting him in the U19s rather than the U21s.

Maybe, but he started his first league match two weeks ago. We really should not be sticking international expectations on his head before he's played a months first team games.

He's up to 5. I didn't realise it was so few, thought for sure he must have been loaned to another team. Insane to call up someone based on potential like this. He's not even played for the U21s!

My mistake, it's 16. 5 in the PL. 8 in Europe and 3 in cup competitions apparently.
