It's not that that annoyed me with what Lone Ranger said, it was more that he's somehow bested those that wished Samba well initially.

My first thought was that I hoped he could get through it. I'm not feeling embarrassed for that reaction, even if it turns out that the story wasn't true.

Diakete says 'he was tired,' and was the reason why he returned back to France. Strange when he had nearly 3 months off in the summer!

Who knows what the proper reason is, but I was told something from someone I trust and I merely past it on via this message board. It's your choice to believe whether or not it's true.

I understand there is some denial but there is also no smoke without fire. Without knowing if there is a problem, something doesn't add up somewhere.

That said, I'm glad he's not depressed but now don't really know what to think. Last season's absence followed by failing to see out the tour and then this after 2 games leaves lots of doubts!

Something like this sounds feasible. Maybe what he had last season was more serious than we thought. Although of course the ITK said it was so he didn't play 10 games and trigger our option to buy him, because he evidently didn't want to sign for QPR..!

Anyway, great news he's disputed the rumours and all seems ok. Just a shame that even with this positive news some on here still have to find something to bitch and moan about....

Well, the Club did put out it's own message last week to the effect that SD was having some problems and had been given some time off. They also said they would be making no further comment in order to respect the man's privacy. Thanks to some hand wringing, some wild speculation and distinctly average journalism the man's privacy became an irrelevance.
I think it's laughable that some think that's okay because they feel it is their right to speculate as to what might be wrong with him - because this is a message board for exactly that sort of conjecture. No it's not.
It's not the same as the drivel posted by the itk wannabe's with their transfer rumors or peoples opinions on whether the manager's any good or not or who is the best player stuff - this is a human being with issues in HIS personal life but as usual it turned out as a more dramatic soap story line than Eastenders because fans of the Club he plays for felt it their divine right to diagnose and write him off with zero knowledge of any of the facts.
