A lot of footballers suffer depression just read the secret footballer . He speaks of literally after training just sitting in a chair for hours staring at a wall.
    Get well samba .

It is sad that in 2012 some people cannot see that someone is suffering from an illness just because it doesn't have any physical symptoms.

I wonder if you had had said the same for Robert Enke if you were a Hannover fan?

what's the cause for diakite's depression? I'm sure he didn't lose a babygirl like enke. getting paid millions to pay football for a living, he has it better than 90 percent of us.

Financially, yes he does. But is that everything? Just take that Tetrakpak heir and his mrs for example. Or Steve Jobs. Im sure they'd have swapped their wealth for a different outcome in their lives.

How do you know whats gone on in Samba's life? None of us know, and therefore none of us should be too quick to judge. I just wish him a speedy recovery tbh.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

I have no doubt this story was picked up from Hammersmith 'Super Fan' R's post last weekend....well done!

Can really see a story like this helping Diakite's situation if true, toilet rag of a paper.

                Matty, Ascot - spot on.
I thought we would have learnt from recent tragedies but some don't.

each to their own i suppose but i know what i'll be doing...

...not caring how much diakite is being paid or when he will be back
...but giving him my full support and hope he feels well enough soon - in his own time.

(nb - this story is coming from the mail and the xpress...so not exactly rubber stamped, but no smoke without fire maybe?)

What an ignorant, crass, and totally ill informed comment. I'll leave it at that.

I've had bouts of depression on and off for about 10 years. What you earn and what you have is no protection from it. If he has got depression, I assure you he does not have it better than 90 percent of us. People need to realise that what Samba has got is very serious, and I hope he finds a way through this.

Diakete needs support and time to get out of the funk. We must have rain to get the rainbow big guy! (not that he is reading this, but you never know)

I think most intelligent people understand how depression works and know it has nothing to do with "how much money you earn",as for the small minority, why not try googling it

get well Samba, you're important to us and we want you back playing well, as we know you can. Depresson must be a very tough condition to deal with and none of us know what it's like unless we've been there. Money is irrelevent without your health.

On a lighter note, I was suffering from depression about 5 pm after the Swansea game, thankfully I'm over it
