"QPR'S club doctor is making regular visits to Diakite while he recovers" is the only thing I've seen from any of these articles suggesting any journalistic basis to the story.
The question remains in what way is it helpful to Diakite for this information to be out in the public domain?
Doesn't help when our own fans start threads claiming to have inside knowledge that the poor fella has lost the plot and may never play again !!!
Agree,..I noticed in the summer rumours of players moving here that appeared in papers in the next couple of days, and they never happened, now whether it was off here or copied off twitter either way it backs up what W12 says people talking about it ends up in papers
There is an interview with Diakite on the RMC Sports website, says he's shocked to hear rumours about depression and he's fine. In fact he's been training with QPR for the whole week apparently.

Best me to posting this. I think it is a disgrace that th media and the fans make up and speculate about something like this! He goes home for 3 days and people all assume/report he has depression! Makes me sick

Ok, so now he's completely denying it. The problem with this Diakite interview is that it is in complete contradiction with QPR and Mark Hughes' statement here: http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/30...ut-343253.aspx
So which version of events are people expected to believe?
All this latest Diakite quotes do is add further confusion and mystery to the story, further compounded by the mystery virus at the end of last season and his time off during pre-season, neither of which were fully explained either.

Or maybe we should stop speculating before someone else comes up with a rubbish story!! He may have been tired for personal reasons. So had a few days off.
When Diakite and QPR put out two completely contradictory statements people (not just us) will inevitably speculate on why that is.
One statement says he has taken time off for personal reasons. The other says he took it off because he was tired. Maybe he was tired for personal reasons. OR MAYBE he doesn't want to talk about his PERSONAL things so just said he was tired as an excuse to a reporter!
From what i have been told, the problem is linked to why he was absent at the end of last season. He has suffered a loss of a family member back in Mali, but it is further complicated by a few issues surrounding it. In all likeliness, he should be back playing with us shortly, but there are a few issues that need to be addressed first.
