I'm not sure people have 'turned against' Cisse. Think they've just pointed out that he's had a couple of poor performances, being caught offside far too often.

        Kneejerkers the lot of them!
But seriously, I think leaving Cissé out isnt a bad idea for Chelsea, bobby is in scoring form and he works his #### off for 90 mins that's somethig we'll need in a scrap with Chelsea, no room for Taarabt or even Cissé, who are less likely to work 100%, track back and fight for every ball. Other side of the argument, we need star quality to beat a team of superstars.

Like he did against Swansea and Norwich then....?

Only playing devils advocate, don't get me wrong, i'd have Cisse instead of Johnson all day long, and i thinnk those suggesitng otherwise always go on about BZ and AJ having an understanding.... yeah they do, but it has never resulted in many goals for either of them.

easy peasy - Barton's gone so the next victim needs to be found..

              no no no

no no no no you cant compare
a man like ayegemang and cisse they are just completely differant in terms of skill and quality

aygemang was absolute rubbish but because he was insane he played one brilliant group of matches scoring a load of goals but he never again did anything like that and he never ever will return to that form

cisse is a completely differant type of player his technical ability and skill is amazing
he is worth multiple millions of pounds where as ayegemang is worthless

still cisse will be our leading scorer this season

Zamora if fit, is my first name on the sheet (shocked Im saying that as I thought he was an ####).
Cisse's whole body language is wrong and he looks like he is not enjoying his football at the moment, he has lost his Mojo.
Johnson looked very lively against Walsall and Man City and mad things happen.

IMO, reputations and what people done last season mean nothing, its all about the here and now and that's why Bobbie and AJ IMO should start v Chelsea.

I think there are good reasons to pair BZ and AJ together, however I agree their scoring record is not great but I do think they will score more regularly with the right quality supplying them.
Cisse has not become a bad player and is still very much part of our plans.
Surely the whole idea is to build a squad with depth to it, so that we have more flexibility to it and when changes are made through injuries, suspensions (hopefully less that last year), loss of form or tactics, we bring in players of a better standard than we've had in the past.
What MH is trying to acheve is obviously a quality squad, with depth to t, so we can maintain our status and move up the league and eventually compete for trophies.
Unfortunately, we all want it overnight, which is not realistic.

How have people turned on him ? He was the darling of loftus road just a matter of weeks ago an IMO by far our best striker . Like a previous poster stated Barton is gone so let's look for the next victim . Very short memories . I know who I'd rather have bearing down on the keeper djib all the way for me

Here's a novel idea, if you wonder why people named someone other than Cisse on their team sheet for the next match why don't you ask them at the time? In pre-season you started a Cisse will score 20+ goals thread, and I seem to remember myself scoffing at the idea. Not that Cisse is a bad player, just that he's not going to start every game. My feelings are unchanged on the guy, he just needs Bobby as a foil to get the best out of him. There's goals in him if he is supplied properly.

Myself, I'm coming to the idea that Hughes expects certain players to work harder than they are and that when they aren't he'll put players in that will. Eg Cisse, Taarabt, Hoilett.

I'd only play Zamora out of the three against Chelsea. Five in midfield, with Granero and Faurlin anchoring it, if Diakite is still not available or match fit.

If you do that, we will be playing into their hands. They will play out from the back and their full backs will bomb on.

Whats needed is the good old fashioned 2 up front, splitting the defense, closing them down, preventing them from playing the ball out from the back and by playing 2 up top, they will have to keep their back four in place, instead on the full backs bombing on if we play 1 up front.

The biggest hurdle Cisse has is the fact that I bet on him each way to win the golden boot.
It is my fault I am afraid.

Think the Johnson / Zamora partnership looked ok vs City and i would be tempted to go again with it vs Chelsea.
