  • Our 25 man squad

As alot of you know the 25 man squads have to be announced today but who do you think will be in it?
Also on the subject of players what do you think our strongest 11 will look like from the chelsea game onwards??

  • #2
    Cesar
    Green
    Cerny

    Bosingwa
    Onouha
    Ferdinand
    Nelsen
    Hill
    Mbia
    Fabio
    Traore

    Park
    Mackie
    Diakite
    Faurlin
    Granero
    Derry
    Taarabt
    SWP
    Hoilett
    Dyer
    Ephraim

    Cisse
    Zamora
    Johnson

Starting 11 depends on formation as we have a wealth of midfielders, many of whom are attack minded so could play as wingers / additional forwards in a 433, 4231, or straight 442.

I think the back 5 will be this regardless:

    ........................Cesar
    Bosingwa......Mbia....Nelsen....Fabio

    Then possibly

    ........Faulin....Diakite
    Park......Granero.....Taarabt / Hoilett / SWP
    ..........Cisse / Zamora

    Or:

    Park.....Faurlin...Granero....Hoilett / Taarabt / SWP
    ..............Cisse....Zamora

    Or

    Park......Granero....Faurlin
    SWP....Cisse.....Hoiilett

The main thing is that we now have loads of good players offering loads of options and variety for different situations.

I'd probably go with that team and formation except perhaps Traore for Fabio.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

You're all just over-excited, trying to cram all the new recruits into the same side.

Derry has to play against Chelsea.

Could we have a free agent CB in that squad, please?

And no signs of Hargreaves anymore?

Yeah, with Hulse up front. And SWP in goal.

I won't have a bad word said about Derry. Top pro. Has never let us down and was v good at the end of last season when given the chance. Sure he's getting on but lets not forget what players like Hill, Derry and HH did for us.

I agree with Del's 25. This would be my starting line up vs the ****:

                        --------------------Cesar----------------
                        Boswinga-----Ferdinand---Nelsen-----Fabio
                        ---------------M'Bia-----Faurlin-------------
                        --------Park-------Granero------Hoilett/Taarabt
                        --------------------Cisse----------------------
"When you went to the corner and saw our fans celebrating the way they were you just wanted to be part of it" - Shaun Derry after we beat the scum 1-0

Cisse looked poor on his own, didnt get a kick against Swansea.

That's because Taarabt was too deep at times and Cisse had no support at all. Granero knows how to play behind the striker very well because he done this for Real Madrid, and he knows he has to support Cisse at all times. If M'Bia and Faurlin are in front of the defence then there will be no need for the attackers to track back anyway! It was just Diakite playing the defensive role vs Swansea, but with this lineup/formation we will have 2 players doing this.

Agreed Derry is and has been a fantastic player for us. I think he plays with a lot of heart aswell and I like that about him. However I think some people on this board need to accept that the days of him appearing in the starting lineup are over. He still has a role to play this season but what does he really offer that diakite (although currently having issues) and faurlin couldn't account for?
