I know we are in the worse recession in living memory and the game was live on TV, but that was a disappointing show at city, about half what I would expect considering the players we've brought in
I must away now, I can no longer tarry
This morning's tempest I have to cross
I must be guided without a stumble
Into the arms I love the most
Yes I was surprised with the away stand being more than half empty. Never seen such poor away following for QPR for a while. Perhaps because it was live on Sky?
I was upstairs yesterday and looked down from above and thought ouch (about 30mins before kick off) it seemed busier on the TV then looking down if that makes sense??
I would guess about 1200 in total top and bottom maybe slightly more. In hindsight should have just had top or bottom not both, evening kick off, 3.5hrs away on final weekend of school holidays it was never going to sell out.
yeah we did have upper tier aswell, it just looked really bad on tv. maybe they should have sold the lower tier first. Ya get me!!!
Club can't win can it ? If they don't take all the allocation we moan & if they do it ends up like that
My gripe was even though we brought 4 tickets on the first day of sale we were given tickets right at the back of the Upper stand when I asked the robot at ticketmaster to be seated nearer the front, no human touch with the club now . . . .
.
"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%? For us that would mean around 29k."
I was in the lower tier, bought my tix on the day for £30 ?? Thought it was supposed to be £39. Anyway, not many of us in this lower tier, all in one block, and we could spread out and sit where we liked, plus they left a complete block section empty either side of us for segregation which made it look much worse.
Upstairs did look much busier, but wasn't shown on TV. So I guess maybe 500 downstairs and 1000 upstairs. I like this stadium a lot, hope our new stadium is similar, but it was never gonna be as good a game for atmosphere as last season, was it.
I was upstairs and there were a lot of empty seats, with everyone spread out which didn't help the atmosphere. Should have sold one tier at a time but guess the club only asked for both tiers on th basis of fans registering an intrest in going.
Around 1500 R's there, hardly bad is it considering our start to the season, it being live on TV and 3 London derbies coming up. It did look bad on TV though but the club bought the full allocation. They've done that for both away games now which is great, however, we had our chance as fans to make sure we always had the big allocations for all games but we've let the club down so from now on expect the smallest allocations because we've cost our club a fair few quid!

Well said agree 100%
We have a decent and regular away following which probably averages between 1500 to 2000 and we have the ability to pull big numbers when something is at stake or in derbys 3500+
I think what yesterday proved is if were on the box the majority will stay at home and watch so in future if I was the club and were away and its live take the small allocation
