As I posted in my first post on this thread I heard as did countless others who were in the concourse at Man City before the game started that the player has serious problems and has been given time off by the club to hopefully get himself back on track in life

This has been commented on other message boards as well and I am not quite sure why the matter is considered a taboo subject and should be hushed up

As it happens I sincerely hope that the rumour has been massively exaggerated and that he comes back to us and we get to enjoy watching his talent as soon as he feels it is the right time for him to return

If he is suffering from depression then I hope the club support him in every way possible as I am sure they will as I have seen what this illness can ultimately end in and is not something that should ever be taken lightly
Nobody wants it hushed up, it's just that we all knew this, and the OP presented it like there was some devastating new thing, that meant him being out all season.

Exactly... Nothing new about him having to deal with some personal matters... Also nowhere has it been said that it is depression. Just people talking rubbish and try to put 2 and 2 together and get 5...

The Club's official and dignified approach = "The club will be making no further comment, as we respect the player's privacy at this time"

Such as shame the same doesn't apply to the self appointed expert psychologists, journalists, Deidre Barlow's (gossip champions) and soothsayers among the Club's message board fan base.

thats because this is an internet fans forum where we discuss **** and other stuff including rumours and banter . Maybe you have it confused with the Kent Gentleman's Club for Dignified Respectful Bores. Should be able to discuss all types of QPR related rumours and innuendo on a QPR messageboard surely? taking the **** and showing no respect is what my grandad fought for in the war :-)

Can't believe this was not picked up by our medical staff when we signed him in the summer. He is on a long term contract on very good money. Will we be able to get any money back from him via medical insurance?

Certainly explains his absence for part of pre season and his poor performances again Swansea and Norwich.

Sad story as I had high hopes for the kid.

Will be interesting to see if Hughes puts him in the 25 man squad?

Can't waste a space for someone who is going to be unavailable for many games until January before he might go to The Africa Cup of Nations.

What a nasty angle on it! Why not support the kid instead. Just my opinion.

Love the fact that he's never going to play for us again but is then going to nip off to the africa cup in Jan.....

                                I strongly doubt it.
