    Interesting that he talks about values and standards in a player. Hughes is obviously very keen that players are of a certain attitude and behaviour as well as good on the pitch. May be from his days under Fergy. I think that is a very good sign.

      Agree, and hope Green buys into this ethic and can be persuaded to stay and fight for his place.

        I think if he really doesn't get matches he will want to move on - he will feel he is a no 1 for a prem club somewhere. It's a real tough one for goalies being no2, much worse than an outfield player sitting on the bench.

          Ideally yes but v difficult for a keeper. Any outfield player these days understands there is going to be a certain amount of squad rotation. But change your keeper (as Fergie did last season) and it is always taken as a massive vote of no confidence in the one who is dropped.

            Green has the advantage over Cesar of having 10 years of premiership experience. I agree its not looking too good for him right now but I dont think its an absolute given that he'll be no.2.
