  • Did we get M'Bia cos of diakete's issues??

Thats why we got him so late? Is there more to samba's problems than we know as he was gonna be the rock in the middle of pitch now M'Bia could play there or do we reckon he's gonna be centre back?

I would like to see both playing and samba to his full potential as it was quite clear in the first 2 games something was amiss, hope he's ok and it's all settled soon.
Thank **ck thats all over with !!! need a holiday!!!

No. We needed a CB and Mbia isa very highly regarded as both CB and CM so adds versatility also.

Add to that the fact Marseille were selling players due to finances, he was an option at a bargain price.

I think he could be another MH gem who's valie will treble but I have concerns its only 2 year contract. I can't imagine we'd have wanted that short a deal, and if dictated by him it would suggest he's already thinking beyond QPR and wants to use us to make a name for himself in the prem and maybe get a lucrative deal after...

Hopw I'm just being paranoid though... Either way, exciting player for us.

Its 2 years with an option to extend it as I understand. I think this makes sense to both parties...things may not work out for him here after all.

something seriously odd about the diakite situation. All of a sudden stopped playing at end of last season. And again in pre season And now this. Don't think we'll see him back in a rangers shirt

I hope so, and did wonder if there was an option to extend. Happy with that as long as we can choose to make the extension so retain some powere in the deal, otherwise its meaningless to us.

What happened when we lost 5-0 to Swansea? xD

I don't remember anything at all. We are head hunting really well. All the necessary players, Diakite will feel threatened due to M'bia's sign. They will compete each other quite well.

Korean fans all love new signings.

                    you Rssss!

                      Don't get carried away.

Last season it was reported he caught a bad virus and missed games as a result. If anything dubious in that we wouldn't have since signed him would we.

He played pre season initially and then missed a couple, before playing the beginning of the season. They say personal issues and why doubt this. Many have speculated depression, with nothing to support the theory as far as i know, it could be family problems, not settling here, relatives seriously ill taking his mind off football, problems in homeland etc etc etc....

He will be back, just needs some time and the club are doing the right thing supporting him.

I dont know much about Mbia to be honest, but I believe Marseille bought him for £11mill & hes been a big success there, so he must be a pretty tidy player.

If you read the announcement on the official mark hughes specifically said he bought him as a centre back (tho with the versatility to play midfield if needed).

The more pertinent question is whether Granero would have signed if Diakite's head was straight. Its far too early to write Diakite off but equally it wd be v naive just to assume that in a couple of weeks time he is going to be back and firing on all cylinders as there do seem to be concerns.
