Apart from Nelsen who's played there all his career, captained an established prem club for years from CB and captained his country for years....???

Also, Mbia has played there the last 2 years apparently, so is as recognised a CB as you'd need, regardless if he can equally play CM as well.

I am sure the pairing when all are settled will be Mbia and Nelsen with Anton and Onouha as back up... i personally don't see how Hill fits in the plans now.

That's true about Nelsen with BUT he's now 34/35, didn't play at all regularly last season and hasn't featured in either of our two league games so far, which suggest he isn't the solution Hughes is looking for in this position.

M'Bia as I said before I have no knowledge of so hopefully he will prove to be the answer!

Sorry to ruin the happy brigade... BUT .....

even though we do have a sublime team at the mo, we still do not have a solid CB partnership. Fair do's that Mbia can play at CB but in my eyes is still not enough. It might be all well and good that we can possibly score a good amount of goals this season, but the fact is, our defence will be broken by many teams on a regular basis. Also, with mighty cesar in goal now and **** CB pairing in front of him, he might have some shocking performances, as everyone knows a good keeper keeps a clean sheet with a good solid defensive line in front.

Hopefully Mbia / nelson or antonette form a decent partnership till January, its just i CANT see it

M'Bia and Nelsen. Both solid and no nonsense defenders. M'Bia is very quick aswell and can easily deal with pacey strikers.

Why can't people just trust that Hughes knows what he's doing a lot more than us. Some saying mbia isn't a cb when I guarantee 90% of us have never even seen him play! Stop picking holes and just get behind the team and enjoy the ride
