  • I know very greedy but...

I can't help feeling a little disappointed that we didn't get a out and out CB such as Kjaer unless it happens in the last hour!!
not to complain to much as I'm sure Mbia will play there and Our busniess this transfer window has been immense!!

I understand but believe me MBia best position is centre back. The fans will love him
      Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
      And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

M'bia is a CB first and foremost, but he can also play DM.

Everyone seems to disregard the fact we signed a class CB in Nelsen, who I'm sure could form a fantastic partnership with Mbia, leaving Anton / Onouha / Hill as back up.

Fear not people once mbia completes his move we will have a stunning squad considering where we've come from.... I mean ffs, Cesar, Granero and Mbia on top of an already top batch of signings before this week... Its unbelievable!

I'm sure it is the opposite way and he is a midfielder who is used as cb anyway I'm sure he will play cb I just wanted two not all that confident about Ferdinand hoping onouha moves over

Onuoha looked very good at CB against Norwich too.

Would have liked a proven Prem CB like Dawson, think that would have improved us a lot more than some of the other signings.

We've done some great business but I'm a little disappointed we didn't get another defender in, either a LB or another CB. We're going in with just 8 defenders and I think we should have added one more. If Traore is out, I don't think the options are good. Fabio is a RB and it's square pegs and round holes.

A good defence is at the heart of a good team and I think ours could have been improved a little more.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

In the words of Abraham Lincoln:

“You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time, but you can never please all of the people all of the time.”

I think this thread is a classic example of that.

Let's get this straight. MBia started out as a defensive mid and converted to a CB two seasons ago. Has been there for the last 2 seasons and has smashed it in that position. Has played a handful of times as DM in those last 2 years when OM have needed him to but is now deemed to be playing out of position as a DM. He is a Centre Back and probably as good a one as we could have hoped for. Younger, quicker, fitter and stronger than Dawson, not to mention more economic in terms of fees.
I have been to watch OM twice in the last season and a half and both times he was immense. I went as a guest of a French Client whilst there on business and the Client is an ever present at the Stade Velodrome - he reckons the 2 games I saw were pretty much the norm for Mbia and he told earlier today that he expects me to take him to games at Loftus Road so he can remember what his Club has lost.
He believes he is plenty strong enough/good enough to cut it in the PL and reminded me that Mbia turned down a bid from Wenger last season because he didn't feel he was ready to move to England. Very surprised AW didn't come sniffing at the last minute today.
