Swanley very good post and I agree.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

Unfortunately because the people we have running our club are incompetent, underqualified and miserly.

My worry is that we will be forced into another panic buy such as Helgusson, there really does not sound as though there was a well formed plan to bring in a striker over the summer.

We have known since the previous summer that a clinical finisher was required.

I wonder how many people here still think selling Blackstock was a good move.

            Yes I do.
It was a great move for a disinterested player that wanted to see out the final 12 monmths of his contract and then f uck off for free!

losing blackstock is not the reason I am concerned. He was an average player at best. What i am dissapointmed about however, is that our top scorer left - but nothing has really been done about it. Dex is an out and out striker - you would have thought wed sign a good player to replace him, especially since selling Delaney and Camp as well - there must be a bit of cash? We signed Pellicori - so maybe we should at least give him a chance, but still think its a mistake havingTaraabt up front. he should be creating the goals - not being relied on to score them

other then that, they are doing a fantastic job

i look at it this way, we have someone already bringing in players, our DOF

he's the one dishing out all these lucrative contracts

now these players have been "found out" not all of them mind as there has been some really good signings Connolly Gorkks even Cerny but some have been out & out ridiculous signings

so without losing face we / he must carry on with HH Agyemang Taarabt all playing up front, when it's clear for everyone to see they are NOT natural goalscorers

i think it wont be long before Flav realises where the problem lays, it's whoever is advising him on the playing squad, not the manager as he can only play what's in front of him, unless of course he doesn't fancy having Beckford or all the others that have flown pass us in a shot, can't see that for one minute

I would take note of the league aftyer 10 games, I would also see how our forwards do up until the International break.

I think your opinion has changed massively Pete.
You have definately changed your opinion on Tarrabt and requiring a striker.
That is fine as we all makes mistakes.
It would of been great if Tarrabt prove myself and others wrong but the fact is he is an out and out winger and a very good one at that.

Spurs and the Morocco websites describe him as a midfielder, not a forward.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

Don't matter what they class him as...we all know he's a winger.

Midfielders includes wingers -- Cook and Routledge are classified as midfielders.
The point I was making is that his club and country don't think he's a striker, so why should we?

so you still wouldn't be worried if say we had 2 points from 5 games.....
